Hi all

Preparing the itinerary for our trip at the end of this month, we fancy an evening at cirque du soleil, and also a day at the beach.

Has anyone any experience of the show and any recommendations for a good beach trip we are 4 adults and 3 kids aged 12, 12 and 15.

Thanks again:).

Cirque du Soleil is absolutely great. You do need to book as it is popular. Is very adult and surrealistic and not very circusy so would not appeal to young kids but I would say kids of the ages yours are would love it. A lot of it is quite spectacular because of the elaborate sets. I went to see the travelling show in Manchester and it isnt the same at all. It doesnt really matter where you sit because a lot goes on up in the air anyway. I just wish it was cheaper. It is fairly expensive as it is well over the cost of a theme park day ticket for a couple of hours entertainment. By the time, you have bought snacks and your video of the show, its a dear do. Good for a special occasion ( we went for my birthday).

Beach?? Daytona is very lively ( particularly on a weekend) You can hire quad bikes etc on the beach. Melbourne is a good surfy beach, kids would like it if you bought them boogie boards. Clearwater is the best beach sand and scenery wise but not so much to do unless you pay for the dolphin watch boat trip and is the furthest away.

How long wood it take to get to Clearwater/Daytona from Pinewood Estate Community?

Not sure where Pinewood is-but we are at the end(almost) of the 192 and we allow about 1hr and 45mins to Clearwater and possibly a bit less to Daytona on the other coast.

Of the two beaches mentioned I prefer Clearwater. We saw Cirque du Soleil a couple of years ago when we had my mum with us. She thoroughly enjoyed it much to my surprise as she is very hard to please-so that makes it a good recommendation in itself.

We love Calasesi Island. It is so unspoilt and listed in the top 10 beaches in the USA. The boat ride out was great and we had dolphins swimming alongside. Not much for children though.

About an hour and twenty minutes Phil to Clearwater, as long as you don't go during the rush hour times, as you have to get through Tampa.
