View Full Version : Glenbrook...
is great. We rented a villa there for three weeks, and found it just terrific.
We haven't seen it mentioned on here too much, so we thought we'd provide a little info for those that might be considering this newer development..
It's on Hwy 27 North of the 192 junction (one mile up), at the 3rd set of lights. (A development that's at lights is a plus for us - the highway can get quite busy at certain times of the day, and we just prefer having the lights to get us in and out. The U-turn spots work well, too..just our preference)
It's a non-gated community, seems to have a good mix of short-term rentals, as well as permanent residents. There's a community pool, tennis courts, volleyball area, 24hour access fitness center, and a 'community room', complete with large screen tv, video games, and a computer with internet access. Also a shuttle service to the parks...thinking it was $8/person..pre booked.
Walgreen's, CVS, urgent care center (which we did have to use, unfortunately..but no wait, they can do bloodwork, xrays, and general health issues. Any worse, and you go directly do emergency rooms)CITGO gas station, pet hospital, Radio Shack, and saving the best for last...
Pasquales Pizza. Yum! Yum, and more yum!
are all right there at the lights...lovely little 5 minute stroll on the sidewalks takes you right up to 'Sunrise Plaza' for all the above mentioned services.
And did I mention fireworks? We were driving back and just as we turned in Morningstar Drive,
KABOOM! There was Wishes! We pulled over and enjoyed...and it never dawned on us that we could probably see them from the front steps of our house every night!! Oh well..next year!
Silver Creek, Woodridge, Sunrise Lakes, Clear Creek, High Grove, Mission Park, Orange Tree, Eagle Ridge, The Savanas, Greater Groves, Trad's Landing...and I know I must be missing a few, have to check the map!...are all right in the area as well.
WalMart is at the first set of lights after the junction...followed by WinnDixie at the next set (Wendy's, Taco Bell, Long John Silver's, and a soon to be opened Burger King, are all along there as well.)
Great area..hope this helps someone in their decision!

This was a very useful post, thanks. We are considering a villa on Glenbrook and just researching the community before we decide. Any more info on Glenbrook would be appreciated, such is there still building work going on etc?
We are one of the very last to be built. Our furniture is going in next week. I believe there are only 2 homes not as far advanced as ours but I will get some of the other owners on Glenbrook to update this post for you.

Our Villa was completed last year.

Although Glenbrook is a new community, the building work is just about finished. There is no constructon going on now, just the internal finishing off of the last few villas.
The developers will be totally gone by the end of April but you wouldn't know they were there now.
I am sure you will have a great time if you chose to stay there.
Going out to our villa on Sunday, will update any on building.
What a fab location!
Just 10-15mins to Disney, and lots to enjoy on the way - but then again I'm biased, as I know how great it is, cos I bought a villa there!

Hi 'Sunworld'
You won't be disappointed with Glenbrook - it's a lovely community!
The building work is now just about finished - the last few homes to be built are just having the finishing touches done. The community itself is now looking very nice, and has addtional facilities on site apart from being ideally located for Disney. There are shops and eateries close by.
Are you renting direct from an owner? If so - do ask them all the questions you need to know. We have owned on Glenbrook from very early on - and know most of the owners (they are all very friendly) and I know that they will be keen to ensure you have a great stay.

We are off to Glenbrook tomorrow. We have been speaking to loads of Glenbrook owners and the general theme has been the resort has a WOW factor when you drive in.
Are we there yet? M I C K E Y M O U S E, Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse...Jan says I'm getting too giddy now. :D
