[^]i have been looking on the site for flight info for oct 2004 but they do not seem to be on the system,any idea`s thanks bernard

Scheduled flights are normally released 11 months in advance. So for Oct 2004, it will be November 2003 before they're released.

Too far away. Unless you want a fly drive - in which case you can book up to December 2004 with Virgin at the moment then you will have to wait until 11 months before. So you can book up to about May 2004 at the moment.
If you want flights for a very busy time though it is worth pre-registering - you can do this with the Flights link on this site and they will let you know when the flights are released.

You are probably trying to book too far in advance as I don't think the major scheduled airlines release the tickets for sale more than 300(ish) days in advance.
Obviously too keen!!
If you know which airline you would like to fly with you may wish to phone them and enquire when the tickets would be issued, and note the day in your diary so that you can try to scoop a bargain!
