I haven't missed Dancing on Ice since it started..... . Jane and Chris 22 years after their Olympic gold WOW. We have been watching the ice dancing at the Olympics and there is just no comparison, it all seems boring.
Anyone else enjoying this show?
Absolutely love it Paula - can't believe it is 22 years, it seems like yesterday. I bet the countries ice rinks are busy now. I would hate to be a judge they are all so different![msneek]
i am enjoying the show Paula
i hope that Gaynor will win
the only thing i'm not keen on is the blonde "eye candy" presenter i think for a show aimed at a family audience her clothes are a bit too much and need toning down
the show brings back memories of my local friday night ice disco, when i was 15 i used to go every week and if you met a boy it was a good excuse to hold their hand[msnwink]
Mizzy
I love it too!!!! Can't decide who I want to win as they are all so good[clap]
I love the outfits for the girls too[msnwink]
I love this show, watch it every week.
I also can't decide who I want to win, I think they have all done great. I can only just about stand up on the ice.

Caitlin will be very disappointed if Bonnie doesn't win but I can't say I'm too bothered. I thought Andi Peters was hilarious when he was in it and I like Stefan because I love the Bill.

i love this show!! and i think David Seaman is the very best!!!!!such a macho man!!
hes the best!!!!!!!!
yes i agree that the presenters top is too revealing for a family show!!!!!!!!!!!

Thoroughly enjoying it...def want Daniel & Gaynor to win...They have been practicing at Blackpool Ice drome where Daniel is one of the regular skaters in the Ice Show...according to the local papers he went to school where Mark (son) went.... Faye has improved tremendously...
They are into the final[clap][clap]
Iam not a skater but enjoy watching best I can do is to hold on around the edge of rink I hate falling!!

Ah I did like David, never mind Caitlin is very happy.
Jane and Chris are just amazing, they would walk the Olympics if they were in it now.

Sad to see David go out, I see him most weeks when he brings his son to his swimming lessons. I actually think David worked harder than bonnie, she only really did on ething and then was carried around the rink for the rest of the dance.
I liked David but I think the right couple were voted out tonight[msnsmile2]

My favourite TV must watch, at the moment
I can't believe it was 22years ago since Torville $ Dean won their Olympic gold.
I want Daniel & Gaynor to win, they deserve to win they are the best.
Bonnie is not the best skater, the lifts are great, but her partner's is doing all the work
After all its easy to lift someone who weighs less than 7 stone,
Apparently the ice rinks are having a boom time directly due to this show [clap][clap]

Can't wait to see the Bolero next week, it is the final next week isn't it?[msnsmile2]

yes i believe it is Sarah, its so lovely watching ice skating!! my daughter Lauren wants to go but no idea down here where there is a skating rink
Ray&Sarah
26-02-2006, 03:40
Our nearest one is 40 minutes away from here, not really into it as I don't like getting cold and wet. Love watching the skating on the TV though, have enjoyed the skating on the winter olympics too.[msnsmile2]

I still think even now Torville and Dean could wipe the rink with the world class skaters of today, they still have that magic and I love the little show they put on before the competition starts.[clap]

Torvill and Dean were some of the best ambassadors for Nottingham, when I used to live there. As teenagers, we had trouble getting on the rink as T & D had so much time booked for their exclusive use
We recently found out that there is a new ice rink being built in Altrincham which is close to us, so can't wait[sporty][clap]
well i must be lucky because the nearest ice rink is about 10 miles away sadly it's not open at the moment as the whole buildings being refurbished[msnsad]
like i said during my teanage years the rink was the hot spot to be seen at for the friday night ice disco
back then i could skate both forwards and backwards but all the girls would petend they couldn't just to have an excuse to hold the boys hands[msnwink]
i think Gaynor or Stefan should win as they have both made great technical improvements in their skating ability since the start of the show and i agree Bonnie is being carried a lot and has only got this far because of the spectacular lifts

Planning permission is going through now for one just outside Liverpool, ski slopes and tobaggon runs too. We did have one in Liverpool which used to be filled to the rafters week after week, unfortunately the powers that be [gun][msnmad]decided to demolish it.

We wanted Bonnie to go out last night. Yes she is great at the lifts but she spends so little time actually skating on the ice and when she does she is usually being dragged around by her partner. I think she will have a hard time with the Bolero because there is a lot more 'skating' and not many lifts.
Jane
I have watched most programmes, but missed last weeks due to a 50th birthday party and last night just the results due to an engagement party. I would like to have seen David Seaman go through as I agree he does far more on the ice than Bonnie. I think Gaynor should win. Definately compulsive viewing for a Saturday night.
Paula D-S
26-02-2006, 15:32
I really hope they do another program like this one. I don't mind who wins out of Gaynor and Stefan, he sure looks good in tight clothes[msnembarrased]

we have a tiny rink in plymouth, its also kidney shaped so very hard to skate properly when there are so many people on it! i havent been for years cos its just too small!
kerry
I sincerely hope that Bonnie does not win!
I find her as irritating now as I did when she was a precocious child star!!
LiesaAnna
26-02-2006, 18:03
same here Chris!!! hubby really dislikes her as well
but do admire them all for trying!!!
I must admitt I only watch it to see them fall over. That is why David should have won. Am I cruel.

They need Fern Britton up there with Philip she is such a pro at presenting[msnwink]

Yes it was Silver Blades, it was great wasn't it
Does anyone else despise Andi Peters as much as I do?
I love dancing on ice and I was sooooo pleased to see him get the elbow.
I was also really looking forward to DOI extra until I found out he was presenting it. What a fool, the pair of them spend the whole show laughing at their own jokes it's pathetic. I just can't watch it anymore.

I love Philip Schofield too, again from his days in the broom cupboard with Gordon the Gopher.
Oh I like Schofield, he's a total natural as a presenter. Particularly with Dancing on ice, you can see that he watches the skating and really enjoys it in the same way as someone watching it on telly would. It illustrates how comfortable he is as a presenter to be able to do that. He's very very good.
She's not bad either but she should get her teeth done.

In Huyton Barbara, I said just outside Liverpool even though it's not but the local authority for Huyton is Knowsley Council. I do hope it goes through. Work has started this week on a new Olympic size swimming pool at Picton Road.[clap][clap]

She didn't deserve to be in the final ,her skating wasn't the same standard as Gaynor or Stefans.

I think it just showed that the public did not like bonny, she only got as far as she did because the Judges always saved her. As I said the other week her partner did all the work. Once Gaynor and Stefan got to the final I didn't mind who won.

Well thanks for the update guys, looks like I missed a great show. Glad to here that Gaynor won, didn't want Bonnie to as I agree she was a bit of a rag doll really being carried around the ice.
