View Full Version : First medal for the UK in Olympics
We have won our first medal of the winter Olympics [clap][clap]
Shelley Rudman has won silver in the womens skeleton (bobsled)
Well done Shelley [clap][clap][clap][clap]
Anyone who can throw themselves down a mile or so of sheet ice on a tea tray deserves a medal just for competing!
Exactly Wilfy. And they do it head first too.[msneek][msneek][msnsmile2][msnsmile2]
Hopefully they will show it again because I missed it.[msncry]

Jan and Lee have a drink on us. She was amazing. Anyone who can do that has my admiration.

Think she took it up in 2002 after going to college in bath. She was a hurdler then

Look out for one of my best friends on the Super G tomorrow (sat).
Roger Cruickshank was my room mate during my RAF training and we've been good friends since. He is a great guy and a very talented skiier!
I'll be watching that's for sure!
I hope he does well, its my only claim to fame:)
Such a shame her boyfriend missed out on the Bronze in the mens event.
I would love to have a go at it, but will have to make do with the thrills of the roller coasters!

That is great news. I was just saying to my husband last night that I had not seen anyone from the UK on the Olympics. The super G should be good! Good luck to your friend, but you know I have to root for the USA.

Jackie Davies used to work for me when she was a wee young thing! I wish her good luck and believe she is in with a chance of a medal.
