No Sheila,
Our 5 year old has not had to be finger printed, so I guess babies are the same:)

Our younger cousin (age12) travelled with us in October and she did not have to have finger prints done either, think it might be 16[msnwink]

Our 13 year old didn't have to have his done last year and the immigration officer said it was under 14's, hope he didn't steer us wrong.[msnsmile2]

My eldest asked when did she need to have your fingerprints taken, It is 14.

It is not a iris scan, it is just a head shot photo of you.

Hi Ceri,
Thanks for the info on taking fingerprints on entry to the US, we have a while to go then our Lily will only be 7 months at time of travel.
Thanks also for saying about the photo they also take on entry, I actually thought it was the eye they took, so now I know its a head shot...... learn something everyday....

They only do 2 fingers, one on each hand and the photo is taken digitally without a flash.

The only reason it really stuck out in my mind is I remember thinking that last year was the last time he would not have to have it done, he is 14 next week.:D

when did this come in? We will be going in march so I gather that my wife and I will now have our prints taken as well as our 14 year old son.
