it looks like expedition everest is still not fully open yet, does anyone know if mere mortals can ride it yet or is it still reserved for the gods of the annual mouse pass [?]

They are advertising it extensively now on TV, radio and the billboards are up. Think it is soft opening at the mo but that can be very hit or miss, if you are in the park go up and ask the cast members, you never know your luck.

Well, we went to AK today and you could ride:D on their preview rides. They were operating stand by and fast pass.
We all had a go and VERDICT - very good indeed!!
Won't spoil it though[msnwink]

Expedition Everest is open in everything but name. It passed its handover to the park with ease and has been running for a couple of weeks now. It is still a soft opening so it could close at any time for any reason but given the lack of problems it looks good.

The official opening is still about 6 weeks away but this is the big draw for Disney this year and I guess they will keep it running as much as possible. We go in two weeks so will check it out then.

How scary please - in comparison to say Rock and Roller Coaster - my limit (well actually a bit beyond - but that's a long story)[:I]

Everest not as scary as RnR coaster but still enjoyable. I found RnR gives me a headache, my head seems to bash from side to side! (maybe its just me!)

Cheers Trev, sounds good does this, I'm not one for Big Thrill rides but it's captured my imagination.

Hope it's open when we get there,.
