I'd rather be cold in Florida than cold at home [msnwink]

Must be from the system thats giving all that snow further North????

What is happening to Florida weather. We were there for a month in December. Our pool didn't even get up to temperature. I hope this cold spell breaks soon for all of you over there. But I have to admit I would rather be cold in Florida than home here.

The temperature can change very quickly in Florida from one day to the next. As others have said the cold snap will not last very long and it will be very warm and sunny.

I agree Barbara, even on a one week holiday, you would be very unlucky to suffer bad weather the whole time. It is amazing how quickly it warms up.

13-02-2006, 10:31
Even if there is a bit of a cold snap it is not going to put anyone off going to Floirda[msnwink]

Like others have said it soon warms up[clap][clap][clap][clap]

This is not the normal for Florida even at this time of the year. They expect it to warm up by Wednesday. May have something to do with the bad weather the north East of america are havinh at the moment

I cant believe Florida can ever be COLD!!! I know 3 years ago I think it was we motored down to the Keys - torrential rain and it was November but when we got to Marathon the wind was so strong it nearly blew us away. Simply impossible to stay out in and yet it was warm. We ended up not staying more than a night and motored back to Tampa where it was warm and sunny. So not my best view of the Keys and have promised myself to go back - yet many people tell me it is not worth the visit

It is close to a year since our last trip and we had a few chilly days interpspersed with a few hot ones and few pleasent ones.

Its winter so chilly weather isn't that unusual, but what is unusual is just how low the temperatures have actually dropped. Its been warmer here in England the past couple of days/nights than in Florida which is unusual.

We are here in Florida at the moment.
Yesterday's weather was amazing. We s[bad language filtered out]ed a hard frost off the car in the morning and we were in swim suits by our pool in the afternoon, the boys even played in the pool for an hour. It got chilly in the evening again. It was glorious sunshine all day and forcast to stay that way and get warmer as the week goes on.[msncool]

I've been in FL on some very cold days..most last a day or two in a row...then it warms up....once we were near enough the only people in Disney just before Christmas it was freezing...we've been going to FL for Christmas for years...and always had the odd cold day...
because I have the temp in Davenport FL and in Dinnis MA where I live on my PC together...I've noticed that a lot of the time this year...the temp in both places have been the same....we have had a very mild winter in New England...today is beauiful...

How on earth can you decide what to wear if it's freezing cold in the morning but in the 70's by lunch time.........think I feel a shopping trip coming on [msnwink]

I think the key is wear layers and peel them off as it gets warmer.[msnsmile]

Another cold front - freezing temperatures and the possibility of snow in Florida(and UK!) - temps back above normal by Sunday.

Agreed it is is normally warmer in Florida than UK; and some would rather be there etc etc[msnwink]

Robert we left Orlando yesterday with temp of 38 having had 3 weeks of 80/85 part from a few days round Christmas where it dropped to around 75. Arriving back in Gatwick to 38 there was no comparison, it was glorious sunshine in Orlando and grey and damp in the UK.

But it's only for two days, not months on end like the UK...

Absolutely Blott. (Great day for someone to be painting the pool deck);)

Robert I thought it was a beautiful day yesterday if a little colder but there was not a cloud in the sky and it was quite refreshing and certainly no snow.[8D]

It is amusing being over here and watching TV with advice on how to keep warm! The temperature is 60F but forcast to be back to 80F by Saturday. As CDV says it is a beautiful day today - bright and sunny with not a cloud in the sky. We've just put on a sweater and jeans and off to walk along the deserted beach.

I never thought I would be cold in FL..living like I do in the frozen North....but I get cold quicker down there than here for some reason...but I like doing the parks on cold days...seeing people all dressed up like they are in the Artic...and me in a t-shirt....with fur boots on....[msncool]

I think we feel colder here in FLORIDA when it dips down from 70 to 50 and still sunshining .
We are here and went walking today and just put a fleece on and still got a little tanned so not complaining at all .
