Hi there we are off to florida in September however, OH needs to apply for a visa. Just noticed that because we are in Scotland we are going to apply to the office in Belfast. Obviously we have to leave his passport with the embassy, so how do we get our flight back home??

Check with the airline that you are travelling with, internal flights usually accept other forms of photo id. such as driving licence.

Im sure you do need a passport to enter or leave NI. You will need some other form of photo id like a driving licence but as Mark and Pam have suggested check with the airline
