What to do.....

There are 9 of us flying over for the Wedding and i am in about 4 minds with what Vehicle(s) to book.
Last year we had the well documented problem of the 12 seater having no luggage space and as ther is 9 of us we cannot go for an 8 seater.

Question is, Do i go for: -

1) 12 Seater for 2 weeks and a 7 seater for one day and drop off in Kissimmee?
2) 15 Seater for 2 weeks
3) 8 Seater for 2 weeks and 7 Seater for 1 (3 of the party are going home after the first week)

Any of the sites Car Hire Experts give me some guidance???

How many driver do you have Daniel, if more than 1 then why not have an 8/9 seater and a compact car or a smaller one. With the planning to do for the wedding , picking up license from Courthouse etc (not to mention alone time after the wedding) I would think there will be times when it will be appreciated if the party can split.

If some want to go to a park etc whilst you are getting prepared it then means you dont have to run round like a shuttle. Of course if there is only one driver then that isnt an option.

Is more than one car for the group an option - just thinking, with all the running around you will no doubt be doing, other members of your party may want to 'do their own thing', or am I just complicating things for you[msnscared]

6 drivers potentially and we have already got the Marriage License sorted, getting it signed and sealed tonight! The Wedding is taking place on the resort we are staying at, the Dress Steaming and Final Fitting for my Attire is scheduled for the same day as well as any final things we need to sort out on the resort.

The Itinery for the Holiday has already been set Boo and we all know what we are doing and when we are doing it. After the first lot of guests go on the 16th we will have a week to do what we want with Kaye's Sister and BIL.

I'd certainly opt for a couple of cars Daniel with so many drivers. Even with an itinerary planned there are times when it is convenient.

We've been with others before and thought we knew what was happening, when but one person may be more tired than others or if someone is unwell and it is a shame to curtail everybodies evening if they want to go home early. Or if the guys want to do one thing and the girls another etc then it is much better than everyone having to stay together.

How about 2 six seaters for a week (when there are 9 of you )and then swap one of the six seaters for an intermediate (or something sportier for the second week)?

Yeah that was the avenue i was looking at which then leaves and 8 and a 7 or a 12 and a 7? If we have the 8 and we all go out(8 Adults and a child in a chair) we will have to go in 2 vehicles.

We had 9 and booked an 8 seater and a compact. It worked a treat.

When my daughter got married there were 9 of us and we really needed two cars. We got an 8 seater and a compact for the happy couple.

Originally we were given a 15 seater and I hated it. I found it very bouncy, it guzzled gas and if you went anywhere of the beaten tourist track it was quite difficuly getting it around some of the smaller roads. We took it back the next day and got the other two cars.

A much better option. One day only 3 of us went out and how silly we would have looked in a 15 seater.

Hi Daniel & Kay,
when our daughter got married Oct last year in Florida there was 14 of us all together 5 stayed in our villa the other nine stayed in Johns villa, between us we had 4 cars and it worked a treat,we could all do our own thing if we wanted or double up if we went together.

Just a thought, would an 8 seater an a cab work? If some of your party are going to be at the villa most of the time it may be cost effective and its just for the first week. Maybe a limo on the wedding day?

I would get 2 cars with that many people. The 8 seater is great as it has lots of luggage space. You could get some cheap walkie talkies to help you stay in convoy when you all go out together. These are also very useful in the Theme Parks [msnsmile2]
