A quick and possibly bizzare question. The boys love crazy golf I hate it and usually end up wandering about trying to make a diet coke last forever !! Is there a nail bar or such like near a crazy golf place preferably on the 192 by Splendid China as that is roughly where we are staying I think this might be one for the girls.

Just happened to come across a guest directory for the area which mentions Irene's Hair Studio in Formosa Gardens Ctr. 407 396 8333. Does hair, tanning, nails, waxing, braiding. Open 7 days a week from 9am.

Never used them but you may want to call and see what they offer.

Also the same directory mentions Pamper Nails Spa on Hwy 27 s of 192 in the Four Corners Center. 863 420 3531. Bit further away but does nails, nails and nails.

Irene's is very good, we all had our nails done there last year, and I have had my hair cut there too. One of the nail operatives is more experienced than the other, so worth ensuring you get her. Sorry, can't remember her name, and of course this was summer 2002!

Can you remember how much it was for your nails done Fiona. My 16 year old would love that but don't want to mention it until I have some idea of the price!

Hi Diane

I had my nails done in the Florida Mall 2 years ago and it was $30. Much cheaper than here.

Ooh it sounds a lot to me Kerry. But then again I never fuss with mine - don't even file or polish them, just grab the nearest pair of scissors! Thanks for info though.

It is a lot but nice for a treat. I have my nails done here and for a new set its £47.50 and infills are £25. If you have them, you need to thinks about whether you will keep it up when you get back, as it's not a cheap treat then.

I think it was $10 or 15 for a manicure - good one too. False nails were more, about $25/30 from memory, I shall ask Cat if she can remember - she's down the pub in a post exam haze (half way through now) big day tomorrow - 18th birthday at Ascot, next exam Thursday and last one Wed next week. Don't know that I can cope with much more! My recollection is it is cheaper in dollars than we pay in pounds. Guess who paid £28 for a leg wax tonight? And in this hot weather - ouch[xx(] Madam has had her nails done tonight (false ones) for £30 from someone in Loudwater (what's a little petrol between friends when you are saving at least £10!). I've had to paint mine myself - and already smudged them cooking supper[}:)][}:)]. Guess what I shall be doing in a minute.

That sounds quite reasonable Fiona. The more experienced one will probably have left and moved on by the time we arrive in Orlando next - August 2004!

You're giving me some ideas of what to do with a 17 year old when we do arrive at least.

Unless you go to a spa style place you shouldn't really be paying much more than $10-15 for a manicure. My local nail place charges $25 for a manicure and a pedicure together. Then of course there is the tip to add on top of that. Perhaps I should pay them danger money for getting anywhere near my feet:D:D!

If I remember correctly there is a crazy golf place close to the Formosa Gardens Shopping Area. (Shows how much attention I payed to it when we were there at the beginning of the month!)
