We had a white Christmas last year in England. The kids came down to open their presents and it was snowing outside. Didnt last for long but it is the first time i can remember that it actually snowed on Christmas day.
We are away in Florida this year so not really wanting it to snow however it would be magical and a miracle if it did.

No

the met office has said the odds of a white christmas are very slim and if there is any snow at all it will be on high ground only

i would love it to snow because it make it so magical for the kiddies[xmas1]

we had a wonderful sight to wake up to one christmas when we where staying in an idylic cottage in rural scotland

the snow was about 3ft deep and the sunrise was a gorgeous pink colour only problem was that my daughter wasnt very impressed

well she was only 4 months at the time[msnsmile]

the grown ups enjoyed it though

Here in Liverpool we had a White Christmas last year. It didn't start until the early evening so it was a lovely end of the day for the children.

Well we had one hell of a storm yesterday.........it knocked out the power within minutes of starting.......winds going from nothing to 50 plus miles an hour with 90 mile an hour gusts......we had no heat or light for 12 hours........the house was at 48 degrees this morning.........the snow was so cold it turned to ice.......hubby said trees were down all over the place and bits of buildings were flying about on his drive home at 4 pm........rain and wind whipping round the house....I'm used to high wind gusts......but this just went on for over an hour...like being inside a large twister...our large trees were bent to the floor.......how they stayed standing I'll never know.....we only lost a fence panel......which stuck to the ground in the ice......so can be nailed back up.......this is the second storm in a week........

I hate snow, sorry, but I just do, always have, always will. My sister lives in Norway, when we visit it has to be early summer, because they start to get the snow round about September! We were there one August and had to drive through the stuff!
Give me sunny and warm any day of the year:)
Lucky for us if it is a white crimbo, we wont be here to see it[msnwink]

wha- ah

the weather girl on gmtv this morning gave the odds on snow across the north east coast as 4-1 for christmas day and 7-2 in north eastern scotland

snow is predicted for later today and continuing into the weekend with lots of frost so hopefully it will hang around for christmas

it depends on wether the cold front that expected over the next few days continues coming from the east or it switches to the west if is stays in the east then the odds of a white christmas shorten for those of us up north especially coastal areas and high ground

let it snow ,let it snow, let it snow[msnsmile2][xmas1]
