View Full Version : Communities suited for young families
Have been looking at various different communities and i am getting all confused. Basically I want a community that has some sort of facilities on site such as a communal pool, childrens playground, small beach?, tennis court, restaurant or shop or bar
Can anyone help me
[msnwink]
Hi Angela,
Lake Berkley, Terra Verde and Emerald Island all have clubhouses, resort pools/spas,childrens playgrounds, small beach areas, tennis courts etc and have 24 hours security guarded gates.
Many other communities will have some , if not all of what you ask for.
I am sure you will find one to suit you on the OV group of sites.
Have a great time when you get to Florida. [msncool]

Hello
Regal Palms Resort has a great communal pool.
The waterslide and lazy river is ideal for children.
One of the pools has a shallow entrance which allows the children to sit and play with their toys.
There is also a games room, playground, clubhouse and sportsbar.
Enjoy your search as there is a good selection.
Southern Dunes has a clubhouse, communal pools, tennis courts, gym, childrens play area and a lake.
Hi Lynne,
you forgot to mention the Wal-mart just outside the gated community which is within walking distance from the villa's and the great selection of restaurants within the vicinity.[msntongue]

The restaurant at the clubhouse serves both breakfast and lunch and is really good!! They do an excellent Sunday morning breakfast buffet.
Lynne,
Can the tennis courts and gym be used by outsiders? e.g those not stay at SD?
thanks to all who replied. It has helped to narrow my search down i know tere will be days when they want to do something normal like go to a playpark.
Thanks again

Play parks and tennis courts are normal on a lot of communities...........even if they have few short term rental homes.....so you should have a lot of homes to choose from.....[msnsmile]

i didnt know Regal Palms Resort had all these facilities!! looks great ........lazy river!! hubby would love that!!
Crescent Lakes has two playparks as well as a basketball court.
Solana also has a large clubhouse, pool, playpark, cyber cafe and fitness room. Many of the new builds seem to be adding these as standard now. I gues it gives you a break from the parks without being stuck in the villa all day,
Jocelyn
Solana and Windsor Hills have really nice communal places. I've never stayed on Solana just visited there but I've stayed on Windsor Hills and the pool area there is lovely.
