I went for May as well, but it September is pretty much as good so it was a difficult decision.[msnsmile2]

Every month has something to recommend it.Personally I like to get away from the English winter,so lovely to get away from the cold and grey to the bright and sunny but nice to go when you get the long hot evenings too.

I voted for May but if I could have voted for 2 months my second choice would be November. It's lovely to leave behind a cold misersble british Autumn morning and arrive to a lovely sunny Florida Autumn afternoon. Walking around in T shirts in November really is a luxury.[8D]

Heather ( or anyone else also ) have you ever been in the Winter months and been disappointed ? We were there early last December, and it was fine. Most days we were in shorts, there were only 2 or 3 days when we needed long pants. I really want to go this Winter, but my husband is reluctant, as he thinks it is too much of a gamble with the weather, even though we were OK in December. Chloe

Chloe, we have been at Christmas when it has been cold for Florida but nothing like here, but it was only chilly for a couple of days and then things picked up again. February was lovely, pleasantly warm without the humidity. Yet to find a bad time to visit Florida.[msnsmile2]

I voted Jan/Feb. But my favorite is really late Feb/early March. It's such a great break from the bitter cold here. We look forward to our school break in Feb.

I went with May, but any month of the year is fine by me

I initially thought May but then changed my mind to Jan/Feb as the weather is usually awful here in the UK at that time and am in more need of a few hours of sunshine. I hate winter and I am sure I would be much happier having sunshine all year around.

I chose December because I love to see all the parks and resorts in their Christmas finery. I also like to get away from the dull grey days that we have in the UK at that time of year.
I too would have gone for anytime if that had been an option.
I often go in August which as yet has no votes at all but I love to be there at that time as well. I love the long days and the sounds at night time.
For best weather... I would choose October or May

Chose September - would normally have gone for October because the weather has always been perfect for us then, but on our short trip in September this year the weather was brilliant.

The only thing that would worry me in september or october are the hurricans as there was so much going on this year.
Does it all sound worse than it is or do you just take the risk ??
Nobody seems very bothered about them ?![confused]

April / May for me

Decemeber for me for the Christmas atmosphere.
Weather may be hit or miss (but generally hit) but the extra stuff you get for Christmas more than makes up for it.

I have to admit Christmas feels more Christmas-y when I am in Florida.

We went for 3 weeks from 11th Jan this year, and it was quite chilly. I had to go out and buy warm knitwear (not a terrible chore). For 3 days in the middle of the holiday, temperatures went to 3' below freezing, and I had to go and buy garden fleece to cover our young mango & avocado trees, they warned on the news reports that these were particularly vunerable.
A few days later we went down to Boca Ratan and it was still warm & glorious there.

I go May & early December and that is generally as we don't have bookings but 2007 I am booked for all February, March, April and all bar 4 days of May so I will have to have a rethink or as the wife suggests spend the money and go on a cruise.

December is for the Xmas shopping and a few days painting ad fdoing jobs whilst it is a little cooler and not as difficult to work when you are 19 stone.
