Hi Kim & John
Can't you ask the owner you have rented the villa from ? I'm sure they would help with this.
We send out lots of information regarding our resort and facilities that are close by such as restaurants, supermarkets, golf courses, outlets shopping and maps to Disney etc.
You will find lots of information on the 27 area on this Forum as there are lots of helpful owners who have villas on the communities there, just do a search at the top of the page.
Have a wonderful holiday at Christmas

I know what you mean Kim & John, I love planning our holiday's you should see the list for November;)
We stayed there last January/February...absolutley lovely[msnsmile]
And honestly, it felt like we were the only ones there!! LOL!
The gate is open through the day, Management office is right there...Bob, "The Builder":D, Derrick and the rest of the staff there are wonderful. Once the office closes, the gate is closed as well for the night, and you have to have your parking card - that you will be given when you check in- to show to one of the guards as you come through. If you're checking in after office hours, you'll be checked in by the guard, and you just have to go to the office sometime the next day to pick up and sign for any additional information.
If you'll be having guests, just let the security guard know their names[msnsmile]
Construction was minimal while we were there...they were working on a few houses, but we heard nothing. The way they've set up the development for new construction is very well thought out...trucks and delivery enter through another entrance further down from the main entrance...the new home construction is walled off quite effectively.
Unless the new lights have gone in at the Legacy Park entrance??...be very careful when turning left into/out of the Florence Grove Street..we saw 3 accidents in less than a week righ there[msnsad]
Publix is 1 mile down the 27 - to the left exiting from VP - same entrance for Highlands Reserve...Walmart is 2 miles or so in the other direction.
On light traffic days, you'll hit WDW property in 10 minutes[msnsmile]using the Sherbeth Road/AK entrance.
There's a public library right at the 27/192 junction - and another Publix..internet access is free, just have to sign up. For $20, IIRC, they'll let you have a "tourist" library card.
...and the villas are beautiful....We had a 5 bed/5.5bath[msnsmile2]
Have fun!!!
The lights at the entrance to Lake Davenport Estates which is actually the community that is highlighted there on the 27/Flkorence Villa Grove Road junction -have been repaired now -the builders of Tuscan Hills opposite went through several cables which is why they were out. Great area to stay.

Sound like a really big estate and quite a busy area, so thanks for the warning about the traffic, however its nice to know the lights have been fixed, lets hope this helps not nice having or even seeing accidents when your on holiday.
Kim
Its not that big actually but there are 6 developments off Florence Villa Grove road but not a lot of traffic along there .
We are staying there Christmas as well. The homes in Vista Park are very upmarket. I would go as far as to say the most upmarket in the short term rental market in the Orlando area (and No I do not own a home there or have anything to do with the place [msnsmile2])They would definitely compare and surpass most of the best 5 star hotels. I have looked at most of the rental communities and I am confident that this place will be one of the best and most likely the best. The master bedroom suites have luxury bathrobes and designer soaps and fragrances in the bathrooms. the homes themselves are furnished to a seriously high standard. You will have a great time, I was there in September and the building work had finished. They are due to start another phase but it is completely separate from the rest of the estate, so much so that you probably will not even know its there. Derek is the guy that runs the place, he is English and you could not find a more helpful efficient guy. You will have great time.
Sorry, I've got lost here... Does Vista Park have individually owned homes as you're talking about it as if it's a complex where all the homes are furnished and kitted out identically?
Hi Blott,
The home price is for a completely ready to go home..fully furnished and ready to rent. When you purchase a home there they offer you one weeks stay in a home similar to the model you are buying. When you arrive to start your free weeks vacation they give you a collection of brochures. I presume you wander around your rental home deciding how you would like to furnish it from the brochures. All the homes there are privately owned. I seen a lot of homes there and I have to say I was seriously impressed. No two homes are alike. Two of my friends have bought there and have said that unlike other builders that the builders at Vista Park will make any alterations that are requested. To the best of my knowledge it is owned and operated by a UK and Irish team. It is shortly to be featured on one of those UK holiday tv shows. I reckon when it is complete it is going to be a really nice upmarket place to stay with excellent facilities. I think there will be less than 100 homes in the whole community.
Hi Blott,
This statement in my first post 'The master bedroom suites have luxury bathrobes and designer soaps and fragrances in the bathrooms' is probably what made you think it is a complex. Vista Park manages all the homes so every home gets the bathrobes and designer soaps and fragrances. A nice touch I thought.
Yes, that was the bit that made me wonder... Of course, other homes in different areas may have these features if their home owners have decided to put these in.
I'm sure it's very nice and presumably that's why you purchased there but I'm also very sure that every home owner in Florida would say the same about their own home community! :)
Hi Blott,
I do not have a home in Vista Park unfortunately....and yes I'm sure you could find other homes in different areas may have those features if their home owners have decided to put them in. But what I liked was that every home there had them. Even the homes there that would not be to my taste were furnished expensively and it would appear by an interior designer. I have stayed at many homes in the Orlando area and to be honest my favourite is Formosa Gardens. But for sheer class it has to be Vista Park.
