Hi,
You can send out an enquiry to villa owners at Highgrove by doing a search at the top of the page.
Sorry I can't help with any of your other questions.

Highgrove Resort is a prestigious gated community 6 miles from Disneyworld
With clubhouse, communual pool spa and tot lot (playground)
on the junction of 192 and the 27
To get a wide choice of homes on Highgrove do a search at the top of the page.
on the 3 websites you will find a home thatwill fulfill all your requirements
Have to repeat what Barbara said. Also a few minutes away from new walmart, and 10 minutes from disney. Barbara
How far from airports is this commuinty?
Is there any building work still in progress?
has this area suffered from any of the previous weather problems( hurricanes - tornadoes)?
is a gated commuinty a lot more secure than other commuinties?
It's about 30 minutes from the airport. The building work is within 2 weeks of being completed as of now. There was almost no damage during the hurricanes last year - the odd tree down (they hadn't been planted long then) and street sign bent a bit. The gates haven't been set up yet so can't comment on the security question. Hope this helps.

Hi Steve, it is about 1 hour from Sanford and 30 minutes from Orlando airport. No damage to estate except what Pamela has said. Highgrove is a well set out estate, plenty of room between the villas. Well kept gardens, and with the clubhouse soon to be finished, there will a play area for children. Very close to plenty of shops (walmart, publix etc). We are by the 192 junction. Only 10 minutes from disney. Barbara
looks like by next june / july when i intend to go all work will be carried out and possibly will be a secure commuinty, being very close to disney is important as i have a young family, also being only 1 hour from the furthest airort is good,
whats the drive like from sandford airport to highgrove for someone who's never been to florida?
when are the windy / rainy /hurricane seasons in florida (ie. what months)
When is Hurricane Season?
June 1 - November 30

Steve,
Really, don't worry about the driving from the airport. Whether it's Sandford or Orlando, they're both easy to get to and from, and shouldn't influence your holiday, I know it's difficult to accept things you'll see here but you'll see when you've got there. Doddle. Same with the parks, it's swings and roundabouts, there's no villa's that I'd describe as "too far out" I don't know if anyone would disagree? In Florida, everythings very spread out and you don't seem to notice a 10 or 20 minute drive, there's always so much to look at on the way!!
Steve driving in the US is a doddle compared to the UK.
I drove for the first time in May as I went to High Grove with our daughter for 1 week when hubby couldn't get time off work. I used the Greeneway, H417 (toll costs around $6) then H192.From Sanford, it took around 50 minutes this was leaving the airport around 4pm on a Thursday afternoon. On the way back we stopped off on International Drive to have lunch at Sweet Tomatoes so we used the I4 busier than the 417 but free and it took around 50 minutes from I drive. The 417 is definately the easier route if you have never driven in the US before but you will soon get the hang of it especially in your line of work [msnwink]
Someone said that construction work was due for completion in September. Is this now finished. In general, is the community well set back from the main roads. Just wondering about traffic noise at the villas.
Thanks.

All the construction work is now finished on High Grove. The development is set well back from the road so you should have a very peaceful holiday [msnsmile2]
