We will spending Xmas in Orlando. My daughter is 17 on 24 December and I wanted to throw her a surprise. Any recommendations for a thrillseeking 17 year old who has been to most of the theme parks, but does love Disney and Winnie the Pooh.

You could try this site

They are not cheap prices start at $150 but you may get some ideas.

I presume you will already have done the meals at Crystal Palace or Olivia's Cafe? You can organise a cake. Also you can get helium balloons from most of the supermarkets - thinking of breakfast at home for that one!. The pixies can organise quite a lot (see Janny's posting) so have a good look at their site.

Balloon flight?? Or that thing in Old Town that shoots her up into the air if she is really a thrill seeker?? Cirque du Soleil ( or did you do that already?) We did the Candlelight Processional at Epcot on Xmas Eve and it was lovely but might be a bit tame for a 17 year old.

Can you tell me more about Olivia's Cafe and not sure where Cirque du Soleil is but we enjoyed the Cirque de la Mer at Seaworld.

She's done the big rides in Old Town - and loved them!

Thanks

Cirque du soleil is at Downtown Disney. Olivia's Cafe is at Key West. Forgot about Artists Point at Wilderness Lodge. We've done both the Olivia's Cafe and many times the Crystal Palce - we too have a Winnie the Pooh fan!

Fiona

Thanks for the info. Looks like we'll be eating with Pooh and Tigger on Xmas Eve. Which do you recommend as your favourite. Would prefer not to go to a Theme Park?

Christmas Eve is a Wed this year, so you can choose from Olivia's cafe or Artists Point. Anyone eaten at Artists Point and can recommend?

We ate at Olivia's cafe in 1995 so might be somewhat out of date info. Our girls were then 7 and 11 and thoroughly enjoyed it. There is more room for the characters to move round at Crystal Palace from what I remember. But all the characters come round, and if you tell them when you book it is your daughter's birthday I am sure they will make a fuss of you! There is a link which tells you what the food choice is, so I shall have a hunt, that might make your minds up!

Have you heard about the boat trips around the lagoon at the theme parks that can be hired for birthday treats?
