This is on the 27 and unlike the Florida Mall not so busy. It has Sears, JC Penny, KB Toys, and a good Dollar Tree plus lots of smaller shops.

This is handy for us as Home Depot is next door, so like to 'kill two birds with one stone'.

This is a great shopping mall, not really ever very busy but has all you could really want.
There is a fantastic burger bar on the site, not actually in the mall itself, but outside of Sears. Can't recall the name right now but we're going out for a holiday next week so will definately have a meal there and will come back and post the name, unless anyone else knows it?

The kids will love the huge carousel inside the entrance as well.

I agree Steph,
I have spent many dollars (in one day!!) on my grandson who is obsessed with the carousel. Great place Eagle Ridge !!

How far after Wal-mart on 27 is Eagle Ridge Mall? It sounds like it is worth a visit in the summer.

I was a bit under impressed with it.

I would rather make the trip to Florida Mall as there is so much more there.

Just my twopennorth.

Just returned from 2 weeks at the villa and made a couple of trip down the 27 to Eagle Ridge Mall from Southern Dunes. It's only about 15-20 minutes south of Wal Mart.
The burger place is called Schoops. Really good American Diner style.
There is also a food hall if you are pushed for time.

Hi all,

We recently made time to visit Eagle Ridge Mall and found it just fine - just a straight drive from Southern Dunes which took about 15 minutes. I'm not a big fan of shopping but have done some serious damage to my credit card this last visit, but my husband (not a shopper at all) went wild in Sears & J C Penny and bought absolutely loads of golf clothing - no more Edwin Watts for us, apparently !!

We also stopped off at Garfields Pub (near to the entrance) to rest our weary legs and recover for the ride home after a meal and refreshing drink.

As Arnie says: I;ll be back !!

regards, Mo

Hi Mo,

Could you tell me which direction on the 27, I'm on Glenbrook, next set of lights after the new Walmart.

Thanks for any info

Head down to Southern Dunes and keep going its sign posted for Miami - don't go that far though!

Its an OK Mall, I have been many times but in comparision with the Millenia Mall and Florida Mall its a bit dull, depends what you are looking for I suppose[msnwink]

It is smaller than Millenia or Florida Malls, but if you have a villa at the southern end of US27, its a great afternoon out, and the Mall is usually quieter than the other two.

Sadly we just didn't have time on our last visit to go, but it is near the top for our next trip:D

We have been several times this trip as they have a carousel and other coin-in-the-slot rides for young children! A good incentive for them to behave while we shop!

J.C.Penney have had some terrific bargains in their sale.

Carol, I notice they now have a Starbucks which is music to my ears[msnwink]

Will definitely go again next trip in August[msnwink]

It's always "dead" when I drive down but I only go for the big stores so it is refreshing compared to the more well known malls which are full of tourists. I like it as it is where the locals go.

We've been using that end for shopping for a while now....got to know the ladies in the Garden part of Home Depo very well...
There is also a very nice place to eat owned by a Brit couple not far away....will try to find their address...

I'd love to know where it is as we're always looking for new places to try.

From the 27 the West Oaks Mall on the 50 is close! Just take the new SR429 north to the 50, turn right and the Mall is just behind Best Buys.

All the major stores - and no tourists!

Or the one I have yet to try is Lakeland Mall on H98 (Lakeland,Florida 33809-3833) off the I4 on the way to Tampa, about 20 minutes from H27

I much prefer Lakeland Mall to Eagle Ridge, but Florida Mall and Millenia are my favourites. I find Eagle Ridge a bit dowdy - all it needs is a bit of a facelift - don't we all[msnwink]

I do like the cooking shop at Eagle Ridge but otherwise have to agree it could do with some work on it. We first visited it in 2002 and it has definitely gone down hill since then.

We went here in October and yes it was very empty but we still managed to buy a few things. 2 of my girls were happy as they had a Pacsun shop which they love. Don't know if I would bother again though.
