I really don't want to wish my life away - but not been tied to school holidays in 5 years time should save us a small fortune.

I have just booked couldnt resist. It was actually £59.80 each way plus taxes etc. I can only go for 7 days though if I had been able to go for 21 the price was much less again. They are also direct flights at brilliant times leaving next Sat! Im so excited

Thanks for the tip Stevie, we go on Friday but I started having a look at prices for next year and there are still plenty of bargains to be had, even direct through Virgin.

Now all I have to do is convince Al that we NEED to go more often :D:D:D

Just told hubby about cheap flights , we thought we did ok with our flights on 14th October, but that said, we have to go via "outer Mongolia" with Delta, Gatwick to Tampa[msneek][msneek] But, it was an unexpected 2nd trip, so, we were keen to just get the best deal at the time, and get back out to Florida this year.

Cooperman,I think you will find that the £83 is one way only.Once you add the return trip and supplements, the price almost quadruples. (you can settle dowm now Liesa)
My daughter likes things booked well in advance so that she can really look forward to them;she is having to suffer this time,as we are hanging on for the lowest deal

Hi Jill, the Virgin price was £551 for 2 people from Gatwick, £275.50 each :D it was cheaper through another site than it was through Virgin directly!

Jeff

I didn't realise you were quoting for 2, should have read your post more thoroughly. However, if you book by tomorrow you can still get a Virgin fare for up to 9 December for £268.30 pp(includes all taxes).

I was actually looking at new fares from which go to 15 December and then start again next year. Thought most people would be pushed to book by end of tomorrow so didn't think they were worth quoting.

Must point out for anyone interested though than none of these fares earn frequent flyer miles.

There are some good fares to be had after the new year as well. Man -Orl for £330 pp with taxes.

Must admit we would be very unlikely to fly with Virgin after last Decembers flight, most likely going to pay the extra £90 and use USAirways, it's a longer in-direct flight via Charlotte but much better seating and service, their special needs people are excellent and will guarantee me a pre-allocated bulkhead seat without a problem :D

With taxes it worked out at £185 each. Bruce (BBoult has just told me he has Man - Orl direct virgin for £240 each) I expect a price hike with all these petrol problems
