Hi,
:)
i was just wondering how to phone home from the US. Do we need to knock the 0 off of our area code and put a 44 in front or does the 0 stay?
eg, if we wanted to call 0115 9367898 (hypothetical number) how would we do this from Florida?
Thanks very much
Alex

you would dial 011 44, then knock nought off, 115 9367898

except if dialling from a mobile/cell phone.
Would it be +44 then omit the zero

never used a mobile in states, but isn't the plus (+) in the uk 00 and the states 011??

I still dial 01144 from my mobile back to England, it just shows up as +44 on outgoing or incoming calls on your phone directory.

only used mobile once - just in case - it converted my numbers to +44 and when I got back the front page so to speak now says UK Vodaphone

When we use a phone card we dial 11 44 before the number
