In the ledger today the reports of the roadwideing of the i4 for the last 2 years have now been completed going from 4 lanes to 6 lanes from champinons gate to highway us 98 to 6 lanes.work on high way 27 jct of the i4 is still gong on

In all our years of going to Florida, we have never known there not to be roadworks on the I4, can't wait to experience the new open road!!!!

There is still likely to be some construction ongoing at nights, so returning from Downtown or from the 192 area we may come across queues as before.

Back to the thread -
There are still short sections of I-4 with just 2 lanes
from Championsgate to 192 and south near Lakeland
We need those completed to make much of a difference
They are still working on I4. Just south of the Disney exit there is major roadworks and you cannot get onto 192 in one direction due to the fact the slip road had been demolished. There is going to be a new road from I4 across 192 and into the back of Disney which is going to be a toll road, I think it is being called the Florida Beltway. Anyhow this causes a lot of tailbacks in the morning travelling North on I4.
