Journey Time to Winter Park.

Can anyone give me an approximate driving time from International Drive up to the Winter Park area. I appreciate a lot depends on time of day/year but ball park would be most helpfull as I am not that over familiar with North Orlando.

If you go via the 417 and come off at Aloma Ave and the drop down to Park Ave-you can expect it to take about an hour. It's a pleasant journey and that road is never overcrowded.

If you do it by the I4-well if the road is clear you probably could do it in half the time-but if congested-who knows?

You could also go via the train. There's a little station at Winter Park that overlooks the squirrel park-might be your better bet.

What sights are you going to visit when you go there?

Is this in the vague direction of Blue Spring State Park, and what is there to see/do there - I'm trying to find a quiet alternative to the theme parks

yes it is -Blue Springs is further out than Winter Park along the I4 north.

It's an excellent day out-especially in winter time with the manatee in the springs.
