When I stayed at Hampton Lakes last year, before I went I was able to find online a housing estate map with all the villas and where they were situated and which way they faced.

This year I'm staying at Bridgewater Crossing but cannot find anything on the net that resembles what I found last year.

Does anyone know where I could get a map of the villa plots for Bridgewater Crossing

Thank you [msnsmile]

Yes, i've found that one, and that will give me the roads etc and where the house is situated, but what i'm looking for is a map of all the houses and how they are situated in the community.

Like I say I found one for Hampton Lakes but can't find one for Bridgewater

I'm stumped!!

You can try putting the address into one of the online map programs, and it will pinpoint the house pretty closely. It's not always exact, but they are usually close.

What you are looking for is the online county platt book. This gives the actual registered boundaries of all homes in the county.

You will need to go to which county web site is relevant for you.

I've managed to find a brilliant site that shows you aerial photographs of road layouts and villa communities and you can see just exactly how the houses sit and the way the pools face etc.

Only if your villa is in Polk County.

Not sure if the link will work so you'll have to type the address into your browser

www.polk-county.net/county_offices/information_technology/gis/viewer.aspx.

Go down to the bottom of the page and open the GIS Data Viewer. You should find a map, then find the area where the house is on the map and zoom in. You'll have to play about a bit, it took us a while to find it, but I now know the exact location of the villa we will be staying in this year

By the way we are travelling mid september and our pool is south west facing but more to the west than the south, does this mean we wont see the sun in the morning.

If anyone can help i'de be very grateful

Wouldn't it be quicker and easier to ask the home owner you're renting the home from this information as they'll know their own home better than anyone else?
