I have just heard from a friend who's daughter and son in law are Airforce personel in Florida. They have just been given mandatory evacuation orders.
Looks like it may be a tough one again. Don't know any other details.
Pray for safety for those facing times ahead.

Here's the latest as of 7pm UK time, including projected track which shows to be missing the majority of Florida and heading up the Gulf to the Louisiana area.
I'm no expert but I would imagine strong winds and lots of rain for most of Florida for the next 2 days as it passes.

But nowhere near as bad as what holidaymakers in Orlando saw last year.
Hopefully won't be too disruptive.
NHC say it still tracking NW.
Seems to have moved even further West now.
That is good news, I would like a little rain on the lawn before we arrive.

Must have a nice green lawn now then.[msnsmile2]
It is past Orlando with little more than heavy rain but due to hit the Florida Panhandle in the north west of the state as a category 4 with 140 mph winds.

It starts June and ends Nov.......its a long season.....I can't understand why its such a shock to people that we have a storm in storm season myself....if its that uncommon..why not make the season shorter.......and then say how odd it was to have a storm out of season........[?]
I never thought it was that long. Always thought it was July- Sept.
How is the grass looking CDV.
It did hit Pensacola quite hard though they are saying it wasnt as bad as Ivan hit it last year. It is now moving into Alabama.
