It really depends on what your kids are into. I have 2 girls so we recently went to the Princess breakfast in Epcot. The kids loved it as there were 6 princesses who each came to the table to talk, to sign autographs and pose for photos. Also the food is very nice and plenty of it:D
We went at 8:30am but we did book about 60 days in advance.

We had a great time and nice food when we had a character meal at the garden grill in Epcot - we managed to book when we got there in the morning.

We loved the Winnie the Pooh meal at the 'Crystal Palace' at Magic Kingdom. Good food & service & lots of time with the characters. We booked when we arrived just before lunch for an evening meal at around 7pm.

If it is a breakfast you are after, the we can recommend Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary.

We recently did the Cinderella dinner at the Grand Floridian. Excellent buffet. Cinderella, Prince Charming, the two mice--Perla and Suzie, and the Fairy Godmother were all there.

I have been to the dinner at Grand Floridian and my neice who has many allergies was with us. The chef came out and could not have been more helpful. He went round the buffet with 2 of the family and discussed recipes etc.
We all had a lovely experience and the the meal was good. I especially enjoyed the strawberry soup.
I think if you go to a character buffet you do not go with the expectation of a fine dining experience just a good selection of food and a fun time with excelent photo opportunities.
My personal favourite is Crystal Palace and I also like the beach Club breakfast with Chip and Dale.

My personal favourtie after trying quite a couple has been the Garden Grille at epcot. You have Chip n Dale , goofy, Mickey & Minnie at the food is prepared with all the veg that is grown in the hydroponics etc underneath.

1900 Park Fare for breakfast and Crystal Palace for all three meals. We do enjoy these a lot. We also like breakfast in the castle but it is so hard to get in.Liberty Tree Tavern is another good one.

I think Chef Mickeys at the comtemporary is hard to beat. The choice is vast and like Ravtino have always booked the last sitting- I think its around 11am. Its great for adults and children of all ages and sex as they have a variety a characters to entertain you.

We have also been to the GF for evening dinner but found this catered more to adults and older children - we were on a late sitting though. Again we couldn't fault it either.

The Princess Breakfast in the Castle.
What could be better than eating in *the* castle.
Done it twice now and it's brilliant...I have two daughters so they love it and of course I have to get in the pictures too :)

For food the best I've had so far was at the Crystal Palace in MK dining with Pooh and friends for an evening meal.

I would also recommend Chef Mickeys for a late breakfast, get in the park early for a couple of hours, make a booking at Chef Mickeys for about 11am and you can have the breakfast as a brunch/lunch thing.
Then hit the park recharged for the afternoon

We personally prefer the Garden Grill at Epcot (The Land) for Dinner. The food is good not the usual "fast food" options and the characters " Mickey, Chip 'n' Dale certainly visit the table plenty of times and interact very well.
For Breakfast we like the Chef Mickeys as it's a buffet and you can choose what you want, tried Cinderella's as our youngest daughter is crazy about her but would say the food and experience left something to be desired....

I would also highly recommend the Chef Mickeys at the Contemporary Hotel. It was well organised and the variety of food for breakfast was incredible. Everything from eggs and bacon to Krisy Kreme donuts and gummi worms in chocolate mousse!

We also did the Cinderella Breakfast at the Castle which, if you have little girls, is fantastic. Food was OK but the setting was amazing.

We have also done O'hanas in the past and I was not very impressed.

As for Cinderellas Gala Feast at the Floridian - we loved it! The food was really good - didn't think it tasted full of chemicals at all. Lotsof choice and the characters were great.

We have done CP at MK 1 for breakfast
2 for evening meal.
Characters were just great. Last time we went in May ,Lacey was 2years old she loved Pooh and Piglet but told Eyeore and Tigger that she didnt like them and they were great and left her alone and made more of a fuss of our son William.
Food was fantastic and would recommend this for anyone.

I'm another fan of Crystal Palace. We have eaten there several times and the food is excellent.
It's a buffet with a very wide selection, and a seperate kids buffet, but they can have either. Very good value for money and my boys love it.

My girls (now 13 and 16) are addicted to Crystal Palace - winnie the pooh characters. I would love to try the garden grill at Epcot but haven't got round to that one yet. Liberty tavern is worth going to at MK. Interesting comment about the food at Cinderella's castle earlier. We had breakfast there once the characters and staff etc were great but the food was too rich for me.

Debbie

Hope you enjoy it.

We would also give our votes to The Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom with the Winnie the Pooh characters and Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary.

Great choice of food at the buffet at The Crystal Palace which even the fussiest of my children managed to find several things they liked - an achievement in itself!!!

In both locations, we felt the characters spent a fair amount of time with each child and were quite happy to oblige with any number of photo calls
