View Full Version : Reservations - Bomas
Hi
We had the most amazing meal at Boma's when we last went to Florida three years ago last easter. We plan to visit again for our wedding anniversary in August:D. When we went before we made a reservation as it was easter. Will we have to do so again?
Has anyone been recently and is it still good?
Rodney
Had breakfast there a couple of weeks ago which was good. We stayed overnight and made a reservation after checking in. It was pretty busy and looked like a longish wait for those who hadn't booked. Not sure about dinner but I imagine it might well be similar

Dinner is always busy. I would not go without a reservation and even then there is sometimes a short wait. Just as an aside, I think Jiko would be a great restaurant for an anniversary meal. Amazing seice and ffod and you are never rushed away from your table. I walways fee obliged to vacate the table after a certain time at Boma.
I would definately book and then you may still have a wait. We love the food at Boma too but I agree that Jiko is a great place for a special meal though more pricey.
Boma's is the buffet restaurant at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
We had a great meal there last year.

Boma is fantastic for an evening meal. Definitely book and arrive in plenty of time. You can always spend the spare time watching the animals in the area at the far end of the pool outside Boma. You get to see giraffe's etc etc.

Can anyone tell me the sort of food they include in the Buffet?

Hard to describe - it's an African style buffet so lots of quite spicy things. The desserts are to die for too!

Thanks, John - I am not sure if all of the children would like the spicy food - Matthew prefers Pizza, pasta etc.

Michelle,
I copied this menu from an unofficial Disney site. I don't think I can give the address as it has a villa rental link on it.

Ours are not into spicy food either but always find lots to eat. Not everything is spicy - there is LOTS of choice. I'm sure they will enjoy the food.

Thanks Yvonne & John - having seen the menu there is certainly something that Matthew could eat :)

What we really love about it is the staff are so friendly when it comes to explaining the dishes. Even the children we have taken that THINK they are fussy we have tempted to try all sorts of things just because they are there. The surroundings are wonderful & it is a real treat!

If you were just to do one meal here-would you choose breakfast or dinner?
