Can anyone tell me if the 12 sater minivan has much luggage space? If I remember correctly the 12 seater is the same van as the 15 seater with one les set of seats. Can anyone confirm this.

I thought it was the same as the 8 seater with one extra row of seats?

Just had a search and looks like I was right. http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_15607.asp

I'm sure you are right Blottie. Nostromo gave us some excellent advice about the 8 and 12 seat minivans last year. We had 7 people and the 8 seat minivan was fantastic. It's comfortable, easy to drive and has tons of luggage room. The 12 seat basically replaces the luggage room with another row of seats. It would be OK for getting lots of people around but next to useless to and from the airport.

We struggled with a 12 seater for luggage - luckily we had friends with extra cars to help out. The 8 seater is fantastic :D

Thank you for that everyone. I would have been in a right mess if I had gone for a 12 seater with little luggage space.

we booked a 12 seater for 9 of us on one trip.

As they didn't have one-we got a 15 seater.

As there was often only going to be 3 of us-we took it back!

In the less than 24 hours we had it-it didn't half guzzle some fuel and I didn't care for the way it bounced around the road.

We settled for an 8 seater and my daughter and husband got themselves another car!

an 8 seater has more luggage space. We have never had any problems when we traveled with the rest of the family. we had 8 in an 8 and there was enough luggage space. You had to be good at stacking though!

I rented (hired) a 12 seater last year for 7 of us to drive to Florida. We had enough luggage space behind the last row seat (just barely). Remember that you will only have all of your luggage with you for the trips to/from the airport. The normal day trips will only have people and what they are carrying for the day. Keep in mind also that with only 8 of you,for the trips to/from the airport you can use the last row seat to store luggage too.

We had an 8 seater in March of this year, we managed to get 4 medium size case's in the back and 1 small case went in with the passengers.
So all in all not loads of room but enough for the journey to the villa or hotel.

We had a 15 seater when in florida last, there were 10 of us all together, having the 15 seater allowed us plenty of space for the suite cases. When we first viewed the 15 seater on our arrival we thought what have we hired but it was perfect. And lets face it there arn't that many small cars in Florida.

I did exactly the same when i went in November last year as from this site. When we went previously a 12 seater was basically a 15 without the lat row of seats. Last year it had changed to an 8 seater with the extra row so there was no room for luggage :( We spoke to Dollar and they gave us an 8 Seater instead as there was loads of luggage space.
An 8 seater will be fine for luggage for your party:D
