That's more like the 'old' Cypress Gardens that we used to like so glad they look as if they're all back again. They must take hours to make and keep in trim and some of them are made out of individual flowers.

They are amazing and I agree Blott the work that goes into them is unreal!

Yes that is Mr CDV with the Bunny, just to show how tall they are! Took me a minute to work out there were Easter Eggs with the Bunny also!

It is in Winter Haven, straight up the 27 and it is sign posted well. It took us about 30 mins to get there from the house. I drove that day and it is very easy to get to. I would say it is definately worth a visit even if it is only the once. Older teenagers might be a bit bored as the rides are more fairground type, although they have a couple of small coasters, some water rides and the likes. Have a look at the website: www.cypressgardens.com

sounds like something my daughter Lauren would enjoy!! she doesnt like the theme parks as much as my teenage daughter!! infact she doesnt go on the rides unless its the merry go round, little chairplanes or things like it, so i think this has to be a definate hit for her! is there any babyish things to do, for my grandson, Bradley will be 20 months or so old! something more gentile would be lovely i think!!! thanx for that!

just had a look through (thanx CDV) it looks like Lauren would love it!!!!

Long story Liesa, We were due to get married in July 2002 and had to cancel due to family fueds! Then we had to cancel in September 2003 due to a little someone arriving!!! Not her fault of course.

We have decided becuase of these incidents and the amount of time and planning both Kaye and I put into it we will not plan a third time and just go and do it! You never know it could be when we go in November [msncool]

well that would be great Daniel!! i have tried telling my daughter that it would nice if they "wanted" to get married in florida when we all go in Sept! but if "they" wanted to just go and get married anywhere in the world on their own we would be very happy for them!

Lovely photos. I see there is one of the 'living statue' as well - I thought she was really good when we saw her 'perform' in June last year.

Not too many altough they have opened an Alligator pen since we were last there, ahve a look ontheir website it wil tell you what is there. They have a butterfly sanctuary also and lots of nice (and horrid bugs in cases). Olf fashioned fire engines and big train sets too as things to do for boys.

Busch Gardens may be more interesting for him if he is into animals.

Cypress Gardens was our favourite park especially at Xmas, I was therefore very disappointed when I heard it had closed down.

We haven't been since, will have to see if Chris will give up a days golf or better still may drop him of at Southern Dunes and then go to see the new version.

Wonder what they did with all the animals that they had before?

Nice pics CDV

I didnt even know that place existed but having looked at the link you provided I think it would be an ideal place to take my Mum - who we are taking with us when we go in March.
Is that a fair assumption do you think?

It might even give me inspiration for my own garden for when we get back (Ok - so now I'm being silly [}:)]

I'll second that!!
I think it's a shame that more people do not seem to know about Cypress Gardens. It really makes a great day out for all members of the family.
I have not been since they opened the new water park, but will probably visit when we go out in September.
