View Full Version : Raddison Brunch
Has anyone ever been for brunch at the Raddison or could anyone recommend anywhere thats exceptionally good?
Hi There,
I've never been to the Radisson, but it's definately on our 'to do' list - I hear the chocolate fountain is to die for[msntongue]
Hi PollyA
I have had brunch at a Raddison Hotel several times, but not the one in Orlando. If you are talking about the Sunday Champagne brunch then it is fantastic but not something to be undertaken lightly. Put aside a few hours, make sure that you are hungry as it is all you can eat and drink, then go and enjoy. The variety of food is amazing and there is no hurry to finish. This used to be a "must do" on holiday for us before the children can along.

Hi Polly where is The Raddison ?
We are looking forward to trying the brunch at The Renaissance near Sea World when we go over in July. I've read some great reports on this one....Can't wait[clap][clap][clap]

We hope to go there on July 10th ,I see you will be coming to Florida on July 15th so I promise I will let you know what we think of it.
I feel so silly, [:I] it is the Renaissance not the Raddison. Someone told me about it and I did not write the name of the hotel down.
[msnembarrased] Thanks for all your comments. The Raddison sounds just as good!!!
May give that a try too.
Hi Pauline,
The Renaissance Brunch is brilliant (checkout my Trip Report).

Don't think you're getting me to eat any chocolate on the holiday young lady after all our blood, sweat and tears at 'body balance', remember the pain we've endured[msnscared][msnscared][msnscared]
Well go on then perhaps a little bit[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]
Dawn
Oh you caught me looking at chocolate[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]

i did to Lynne![msnwink] catch you i meant!!!
Ah, the Renaissance is just great! We've been there three times on Christmas day and you need to have not eaten for a week beforehand to take advantage of all those tables just groaning with food.
The rest of the year, it's held on Sundays only so not on Thanksgiving as far as I know (a Thursday). If you want to go there around that time though, make sure you book up well in advance as it's very popular.
Thanks Blott.
I knew they did it for Christmas and this is not always on a Sunday, so thought they may do something similar for Thanksgiving. Wishful Thinking[msnwink]
We will try it in July and ask what they do for Thanksgiving[msnsmile2]

here I am at present looking for a modest priced hotels near the renaissance to book into the day we have lunch in the renaissance. we are giving our lone driver a treat afer all he is c elebrating his wedding anniversary too, and last year he could not have a glass of champagne. A taxi for us would cost a fortune and we shall use the time to visit some places on International Drive and next morning head straight to Seaworld nice and early. [msnmad][msnsmile]
The Renaissance isn't exactly modest priced but booking a room there also means you only have to stagger upstairs into bed or take one of the glass lifts if it's a good celebration! ;)
Sounds fantastic - and the picture of that chocolate fountain is making my mouth water...or could that simply be the fact that I'm on one of these 7 day diets and am absolutely SICK of fruit and salad [xx(]....bananas and milk day tomorrow[xx(][xx(]
Anyway, I know it's near Seaworld, but what's the best way to get to it...I think I'll start walking now!!
Farida,
Best way to get to Renaissance obviously depends on where you're staying. If you get onto Central Florida Parkway, heading west, you need to turn right at the first lights intersection past main Seaworld entrance. Travelling east on Central Florida it will be left at the lights before Seaworld. The Renaissance is then on your left side.
Oh......and if you're walking, it's quite a long way [msnwink]
OK so I'm hallucinating as well....(I'm imagining that I can walk on water too!!)-it's lack of food that's doing it[msnscared][msnscared][msnscared]...and thinking about that brunch DOES NOT HELP but I'll make sure it's on our list of 'to-dos' this summer:D
Thanks for the phote Kevin. I think the Renaissance sounds just brill. By the way loved your trip report.

Blott you have twisted my arm , the Renaissance it is for the night and one less trip to the shopping mall, then we can do seaworld early on the Monday. Makes a lot of sense.
Guess where I have just booked us in for Thanksgiving ?????? [msnwink]
Only the Renaissance, they do the brunch for Thanksgiving toooooo[clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap]
See Lynne, they've done a Sunday Brunch on a Thursday just for you !! No need to say enjoy it - you certainly will [msntongue]
Thanks Kevin.....See what you've started with you Chocolate fountain photo[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]
Lynne has been tempting me with this one for ages and I think we will succumb next Easter. We are taking my Dad who likes a good spread!! [msnwink]
Do you need to book for the Sunday brunch or can we just turn up?
tia
I think you will need to book Liesel, especially if you decide to go on Easter Sunday.
I'm sure they have sweets and eggs for the children at Easter.
It may also be a few $$$ more on a holiday than on a normal Sunday...Worth every penny[msnwink]Or should that be cent?
