View Full Version : september
HI Everyone,
Im thinking about going to Orlando 30th September for 14 nights. IS this an ok time to go. I was hoping to avoid any school holidays?
thanks
Nicky
Hi Nicky
we always try and go in Sept after the schools have gone back. We love it at that time of year, the weather is still hot and generally the parks are a bit quieter. Still a great atmosphere though [msnsmile]
Of course in my opinion there isn't a bad time to go to Florida, it just happens to be my birthday at the end of Sept, so I like to celebrate it over there if I can [msnwink]

Thats a very good time to go. The rainy season has more or less finished and the queues in the parks are low.
Make sure you keep an eye on the schedules though because the parades, fireworks etc. are not on every night at that time.
The other good thing about October is that the food and wine festival will be on at Epcot. My family really enjoys that.
thanks a lot. Im going to book up tomorrow......cant wait![msnwink]
Don't forget to put a general enquiry onto the 3 sites mentioned above, and you could be staying in a lovely villa.
Villas have so much more to offer , however many of you there are. There's no place like home - but villas come close with lots of extras!

We have been on most of our Orlando trips in October, and infact will be returning this year in October[msnsmile2]To go early October will be fantastic, the weather should be fabulous and the parks undoubtedly quieter than the summer[msncool]Our daughter has a 2 week half term this year, hence why we are returning to one of our fav months, that will be from the 14th October! So go for it, a perfect time to go in my humble opinion[msnwink]
Probably the best time to go. I don't like going in July or Aug as it is so wet. In Sept the rain tends to drop a lot.
It is also not a busy in the parks.
what more could you ask for:)

Wonderful time to go. I've been 3 times in Sept and the weather was great. Parks are generally not as crowded. Have a great time[msncool]

Yes, September/Oct is lovely. If I wasn't tied to school holidays that is the time of year I would choose. There is never a bad time in Florida IMHO:D

Other than a couple of three day weekends, Sept should be fairly quiet. All the kids in the Northeast go back to school by Labor Day (first weekend in Sept.)
There is never a bad time to go to Florida but September-October sounds good from what everyone has said. We have never been at that time but plan to change that by going this September.[8D]

Normally this is always the time I choose, not too hot, less rain, less times waiting for rides.
September/October great time to go, see you there we fly out on the 25th september.

It is a perfect time to go for all the reasons mentioned above. You will have a wonderful time, I think September ticks all the boxes. Chloe
We go to Florida in September every year. You will have a great time and it will be quieter but still fantastic weather etc. Do check times of special items like parades and general opening times as these do change during quieter months. See you there.....
Hi Nicky,
We love to go in late September/ early October (we're travelling 29th Sept this year) as the temperatures are normally just right , often around the mid eighties, and the parks and malls are quieter. Humidity is usually very pleasant.
I hope that you get booked up ok and have a really great time. Don't forget to do a trip report for us when you get back.

I don't mind any time if the Humidity is OK......I find the Humidity a lot easier to deal with in FL then where I live.....I did the parks last year in late July my first time in the summer.......and apart from sea world.....I did OK....it was so Humid the 2nd day we went to sea world....that we left early....
I'm going in Aug this year.....maybe I should stay on all through Sept......

September is a great time to visit Orlando, well any month is really but September is one of my favourites after May and of course Xmas!
I am going again this spetember with all the children. Dan recieved a 4 day trip to The Disney Institute and our home is free for the same 5 days. So if you see a very stressed lady alone in Magic Kingdom trying to keep count of 6 small children- say hi, it's ME![:O]

September and October is a great time to visit Orlando, you will have a fantastic time.
If you was to ask me what is my favourite time of the year I would say any time.
I just love the Florida weather any time of the year:)
September is always the best time for me to go - although last year I had to cancel my flights and rebook 3 times due to the hurricanes !!!!!
