It looks like it.

On their own website all their flights from Manchester to Miami have connections.

I just booked Manchester via Miami to Orlando for December... with the flight link on the top of each forum page.

It has always been a seasonal service (NOV-APR). They fly MAN-BOS the rest of the year.

I've just had a look on AA's website and it looks like the direct is only starting in late December (around 21st?) The Boston service will run until then. This has only happened in the last 48 hours because I was looking to book a direct flight on Thursday last week and it was then showing direct MAN-MIA.

Our flights are on 12 December and are still showing on the AA website.

I have the latest AA timetable(downloaded today) and that shows a daily Manchester to Miami direct flight starting on 31st Oct 2005 and finishing on 25 March 2006. Same details as last winter Flight Number AA157, a 763(767), leaving 11:35am arriving at 4:15pm.

The daily 757 Boston flight service is shown as finishing on 28 Oct 2005.

Just done another flight search on AA website, there are no direct flights from MAN. TO MIA. December 10 through 15. Possibly full.?[msnscared]

This is very confusing. I cannot believe that December flights would be full at this stage.

I have contacted AA reservations and they told me there was no direct service Manchester to Miami in November. They offered me a routing via Boston out on 24 November and back on 4 December. The website offers the same routing. As Robert points out, this is not what the timetable is saying but the reservation agent was adamant that there was no direct Miami service on my dates but did have Boston available. Despite this, blott has reservations on a direct service on 12 December.

I think I'll hold on until the situation is a bit clearer.

As I will be going out before Xmas I rang AA and they have just had information that the Man - Mia service is not now going to operate until 16 Dec. The AA timetable is going to be amended.

Thanks Robert - how can Blott have seats on 12 December?

Blott did have a reservation but no longer has a seat on the MAN - MIA on 12 December, she has a seat on a flight via Boston now. but via Miami on the return. [msnmad]

I'm sorry to hear that Blott - that's pretty poor service from whoever sold you that flight.

I'm afraid it's the much maligned 757 on the Boston route.

Take plenty of good books to read etc!!!!Oh and wear flight flight socks as moving around will not be an option when the trollies are out in the cabin!!![msnwink]

I can't understand why they use this route as only in the winter!

I thought they would use it for the Summer as Miami is very popular.
