Hi everyone, just a quick couple of questions!

The Vans 'Warped Tour' is calling at Orlando in August at 'Tinker Field' and I was just wondering is this an indoor stadium, sports stadium or an outdoor venue (like Donnington Park UK)?? Id like to get tickets (they are only 27 dollars!!!) but I'm not fussed if it means sitting outside in the sweltering heat all day just to see the one band that I like that are healdining (the offspring).

Also, has anyone been to the tour before and can tell me anything about what its like?

Thanks very much for any help you can give! :)
Alex

It's an outdoor baseball field. The grandstands are patially covered, with ceiling fans suspended from the overhang.

Tinker Field was the long-time spring-training home of the Minnesota Twins and home to many Class AA Southern League and Class A Florida State League teams, most recently the Orlando Rays. in fact the stadium looks exactly like it did after the Rays' final game there. Signage for the Rays is everywhere and there are still taps in the beer booth, although most everything else in the ballpark is rapidly deteriorating. It's more like a ghost stadium than a real ballpark.

Dunno when they were taken though.

When did the Rays last play there? I know they were at Disney's wide world of sports last year, and this year they have moved the franchise to Alambama, now called the Montgomery Biscuits.

Silly me [msnembarrased]

Must really learn to read some day[msnwink]

I am actually a bit disappointed that the Rays have moved on, it means I will have to drive down to Lakeland to take in a game. Never mind its only 45 mins in the car
