Try Direct Travel. We use them and they seem very reasonable.
I have just done a search for U.S. travel in August for a family and it came in at £60.

You need to make sure it covers you and your vacation so price may not be top of the list. You can get good travel insurance from Marks & Spencer, online or via the phone.[msnsmile2]

You could try Direct Line Insurance they seem to be pretty good. We have gone with them for this trip and so have our friends 'Bluebirds' who are travelling with us. Direct Line were cheaper than any other of the companies we tried by quite an amount. They were cheaper than our bank by £75.00 for an annual cover.

I have just been quoted £102?? thats for 2 adults and 1 child! I have found Churchills to be quite good and there cover is good as well £5000 for cancellations, normally its only £2000 or £3000. Our quote for 3 weeks was £85.

I admit to being biased as I do work for Churchill but I wouldn't take out their policies if they weren't any good. For the price I pay I get, in my opinion, a very good cover. They are particularly cost effective if you travel on more than one international holiday a year and take out their annual policy.
I use direct line... £76 for a full year! Even on domestic holidays!!! That is 12 months cover! Oh that is family cover.
