For those of you North of the M62 who can access Glasgow Airport, always cheaper flights in August as Scottish school holidays have finished - saved us nearly a grand - DOWNSIDE is the 4 hour drive from home. Holiday Inn Express also does cheaper linked parking, which is already half the price of Manchester Airport. HI EX family room about 55 pounds.
Good idea, we are waiting to close and think we will be going August but not certain. Which airlines go from Glasgow?

yes i agree . we live durham area and used glasgow one year on a bank holiday. it was a lot cheaper cos it wasnt a scottish holiday
last year we used aberdeen for a very last minute holiday which was a hike but it was literally the last place in uk we could fly from on a feb half term.
Whereabouts do you live in Durham Trev? Know the area well , we live near Stockton, nearly neighbours,
