Hi everyone - another new member.
We have our trip booked for this Christmas - the first time with the children. Went a quite a few years ago but have been itching to go back - only seven and a bit months left!!

We went to Mickeys Christmas Party parade at Magic Kingdom last year it was great.

christmas is the best time to go i should think, but have only been twice in December the first 2 weeks, but i know how great it has been then! all the decs up and every one in a lovely holiday mood!

This year we will be there for the first time at Christmas and I can't wait as I have heard the decorations are wonderful.

Christmas is magic in Florida.Nobody does Christmas on the scale of the Americans.
Just driving round somewhere like Celebration is amazing and the parks are breathtaking
It takes Disney 3 months to put up their lights and there are also the famous Osborne lights to see
As you haven't been for a while,you are also going to be blown away by the new rides,some of which are unbelievable.How they keep topping themselves,I don't know!

Welcome to the forum Ian, Christmas is a great time to spend in Florida, like Heather says check out the lights around Celebration, they are fantastic. You are sure to have a great holiday, Christmas and Florida are a magical combination.[msnsmile2]

What a great time you have chosen to take your family to Orlando, especially as its the children's first trip. The children will love it - Disney is always magical but it exceeds all expectations at Christmas.
And you will be wowed by the decorations which so many home-owners put up on their villas.
Add to that the wonderful decorations in the malls and you won't want to go home!
