I'm sure best restaurants has been done before but thought I would poll for the best family restaurant. I've based this on feedback to a thread I started in the eating out thread. Thanks for your recommendations there. Sorry I could not list them all. I might do a best of the rest later!

Hard to choose because we love The Olive Garden, best Italian we have had in Florida and Tony Romas IS the place for ribs, no competition.[msnsmile2]

I haven't been to any of them, so I can't vote, and because of that I can't see the results to see which is the best family restaurant to consider for my next trip!!! A bit of a Catch 22 situation there!

PS. I should engage my brain more often. Did not realise until now, that you can see the results very easily!!! In other Polls, when I have voted the results have shown automatically. DOH!

We like TGI and Chilis as they always seem to go out of there way to look after the kids.
Not tried the Olive gardens but after all these recomendations will have to give it a try when we are over there in two weeks time.

looks like Olive garden, Outback and Tony Romas so far.
The menu for Carrabbas looks good. We are stopping in Kissemmee so this looks appealing. Any recommendations from the menu?

Only one on the list we've used is Olive Garden, but there is another Italian @ Mall at Millennia ( don't know the name )which is as good if not better than O.G. the srvice was really good and very reasonably priced.

Yes Race Rock is the one with the car outside Dawn.It has TV Screen showning various car races or events and lots of arcade machine's for the kids around the outside and in the middle a great bar so you can have a drink while the kids play on the machines.

We also agree we love Carrabas especially the Pollo Rosa Maria which is Grilled chicken breast stuffed with fontina cheese & prosciutto and topped with mushrooms. yum yum.....[msnsmile]

Rodney

Olive Garden is the choice for us - apart from the fact it's always soooo cold in there...

We had a bad meal the only time we went to Carrabas, so wouldn't go there again...:(

Voted on RaceRock, but by far the best FAMILY restaurant is JOES CRAB SHACK - our kids absolutely love it. Dont just sell crabs either as one of mine wont eat fish. The staff are great and the little dance they do is great ammusement - one of my kids gets up and joins in. Great kids area as well for when you are waiting as there is alway a queue.

T-shirts are great too!!!

If you have not been - GO - Its great.

There are many brances of Olive Garden. Our favourite is on I Drive but you can find them everywhere. A new one opened at The Loop. Just Google Olive Garden for menus and locations. It is our favourite too. The Minestrone soup is the best I've ever had and unlike most places they don't make it with meat stock, so it's O.K for veggies.

I see this thread was started in 2005. The Race Rock mentioned is now closed.

O.K. I have given this nearly 4 years of thought and have decided on Carrabbas with Manny's a close second for great value. Having said that I haven't been to Olive Garden or Tony Romas either so after nearly 4 years my opinion is largely irrelevant. Will try the other two in July though!

My favorite is Applebee's in Davenport just the other side of Legacy Park Every year we go down we have to eat there a couple of times. It gets busy around supper time but its worth the wait

Applebees, Berry Town Center US27, Davenport. Great menu, great food and service. 2 for 1 on the booze to keep the adults happy as well. It normally gets at least 3 visits during our fortnight each year.
