Downtown disney

Is it free to go to downtown disney and don't need any disney passes? Never been there so not sure. Also I believe this is where the early check in is for the virgin flights. Is this early check in done the same day or the morning of your flight?

Downtown Disney is free, the only ticket you will need is if you want to go into one of the clubs in the pleasure island part of this area.

Yes, it's free apart from access to Disney Quest and Pleasure Island which is extra.

The check in for Virgin is on the morning of your flight - something like 8:30am to 1pm.

yes downtown disney is free except you have to pay if you want to go into pleasure island(clubs and bars)and the virgin check in is done the morning of your flight i believe.

Downtown Disney is free to go in. It has 3 sections, Disney Marketplace, Pleasure Island, and Disney Westside. There are lots of shops and restaurants and it's one of our favourite places to have a stroll round and sit with a coffee and people watch [msnsmile]

Virgin downtown check in is also here, its by Cirque du Soliel and is open from 8am to 1pm on your departure day. We always use it as it means we have no cases to lug around all day and can head off to the parks one final time, then straight to the airport [msnwink]

Is Downtown Disney open all day?

We have booked tickets for Cirque du Soleil and were planning on going to Downtown Disney late afternoon for a look around then on for dinner before seeing the show at 9pm.

The first shops at Marketplace around 9am, others are later, but everything is open by 11am, except for Pleasure Island, where they open in the evenings [msnsmile]
