View Full Version : Google Maps
If you do not have map/route software on your PC then http://maps.google.com is pretty detailed.
You can also get an ariel satellite shot of the area in most cases.
So any of you villa owners fancy an overhead shot of your community then pay it a visit.

I've been using it for a while and it's fantastic. I just love the way you can pick a map up with your mouse cursor and move it around, just like you would if you had a paper map on your desk.
The driving directions I've tried in Florida have been spot on too!
Now I can find all the shortcuts without having to guess![msnsmile2]
They always turn out to be even longer when I follow my nose[msnembarrased].
Thanks

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=kansas+city&ll=28.416653,-81.561642&spn=0.054417,0.083256&t=k&hl=en
this isn't kansas toto :D
seriously though
i like the way if you move out of the usual square of the map and back again it remembers and you dont have to wait for it to reload
i moved to another location in the us then back to florida and my computer didn't take anytime to reload the map, is it remembering in cache?
i think it brings up an interesting point
does any body know the capacity of the magic kingdom car park or epcot which are shown
because it would bring up just how big the parks are in comparison
I can't get a clear shot of my community - for some reason there is an area that is all blurred.

The maps on teraserver are generally more detailed ` . (. though the site is not as easy to use)
Google have now added the UK!
Rooster
could not get a detailed enough shot.
Sat views are high altitude for UK at the moment but maps are down to street level - certainly in my area.
