Could someone please confirm that the directions below are correct to get from Sanford Airport to Champions Gate.
From Sanford Airport
You will need about $6 for the toll road
Follow the exit signs and carry on this road until you see signs for the 417 SOUTH. Turn left onto the 417 South (GREENWAY), stay on this road and follow sign for 'Area attractions'. The Greeneway will meet I-4 and continue on toward the signs, which read Tampa (west). At exit 58 leave the I-4. This is Champions Gates.
Thank You
Those directions are correct Nick. It'll take you about an hour. If you follow the signs to Tampa on the Greeneway you can't help but end up on I-4 and then it's about 4 miles down to junction 58. This is the way that I send all of my guests who arrive at Sanford.
Yes, I can confirm that these are the correct directions.

Thank You very much Carla for your speedy reply.
Nick
If you wanted to avoid the tolls you can follow Lake Mary Boulevard from Sanford Airport direct to the I4 - then take west to Tampa as your instructions tell you to
Tracy
I have never used the toll, jusy straight down the I4. Does not seem to take much longer.
DOM
That all depends on what time you land at Sanford, Dom. The I-4 up around Orlando itself can get very backed up with rush hour traffic, so driving along it any time from around 4pm to 7pm you have to take pot luck and hope that it will be alright, whereas the 417 is under used at all times.

We always choose 417 even from MCO, much quieter especially if you are jet lagged or unfamiliar with driving on Florida roads.

Us too, much prefer this route[msnwink]
The Greeneway (417) is definitely the best route. The last time we used the 417 it cost $7 in toll fees. Apart from being quieter than the I-4 it is much more scenic.

Toll Road is best for first time visitors and/or those a little unsure of the driving.
If you are OK with the driving and have visited before, then a little gamble on the I4 congestion is sometimes worth it as you are rewarded with the cityscape either side of you as you pass through downtown. Looks even better as dusk is falling and the buildings are lighting up...
Horses for course I guess!

Champions Gate is the next exit after the last one that is signposted Disney (Magic Kingdom). Look out for the Pylons in the shape of Mickey Mouse' head on the right of the I4 - the exit is around half a mile after this.

I am sure someone from 4 corners might give you specific instructions, but i would tend to come of at the 192 junction and then travel down to the junction with the 27 as 4 corners will then be the first development you come to on the right. If you leave at Junction 58 and travel to the 27 via the 54 you will be much too far south.
Like I say I am sure there will be a 4 corners owner along soon who can be more specific. <blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by parrot 2

Take the champion’s gate turn off the Interstate 4 (I - 4)
Champion’s gate is located at Exit 58 on the I – 4. (inter state 4)Go to the end of the road until to you get the T junction you will be passing Publix super market and the Orlando Hotel Resort on your right.
And then
Turn right onto country road 54
Go to the traffic lights turn right you will find Walgreen’s on that corner.
You are now on the (highway 27) four corners is a very short way down this road on your left
.IF YOU MISS THE (EXIT 58) TURNING DONT WOREY THE NEXT TURNING WILL BE OK YOU JUST CONTINUE TO (EXIT 55)
You turn off at Haines City (Exit 55) keep in the left lane of the slip road.
At the traffic lights, turn left onto Highway 27 North towards Clermont.
You will pass walgreens on your right and four corners is just down the Rd on your left
Have a great holiday!
