Almost everyone has heard people say 'Mickey Mouse Money', usually its when they go abroad and that is how they describe foreign currency.

But how many of you are familiar with Disney Dollars??

I myself collect it, not for the value just for fun.
$1 US = $1 Disney Dollar

The bad thing is, you can't buy them in the UK from Disney!!

I have three different Disney Dollars, you get one when you return the strollers at the end of the day.

I was fortunate enough to get a Disneyland California one in Disneyworld!!!

Its a crafty way of not actually handing US$ back.

I've been buying them off ebay too.

But it can be costly!

Very collectable.

Especially if they are in perfect condition

As someone who voted 'Never knew they had it' in the Poll - can you tell me how you use them? Are they used in place of 'real' dollars in the Disney Parks and shops, or are they purely collectable items?

Very first time we went to Disney almost 20 years ago (gulp) we changed some dollars for Mickey Mouse money, for the novelty factor. I have one at home somewhere and that is about it. It is just a novelty factor really and does not bother me at all.

Check the kids pockets!!

I have a few that are all sequential numbers and so plan to have them framed for the villa.

Which then means I will have to buy some more to replace them! [msntongue][msncry]

This is the first I have heard about 'Disney Dollars' - I am interested to know where to get them too. We already do the 'pin trading' thing.

You need to keep them as flat as possible for them to increase in value.

Anyone thinking of buying should consider this!

If you buy them at GS in City Hall, ask to see what they have, then pick out the best ones!
Sequential numbered ones make for better framed dollars!

I never knew you could collect them. I have had a couple and have just looked on eBay, will sell them on, help pay for the next trip. Mickey Mouse money it may be but if I can sell it for more than $1 I’ll be quid’s in.
