Just getting ready to go anywhere is a mega task in my house.

Eyebrows have to be plucked, legs, arms and anywhere else has to be waxed/shaved. War paint put on, nails done. Don't even want to think about hair now I have grown it[msneek] Hours choosing just the right outfit, bag and shoes to match...now that is a huge task;)

I am slowly teaching Mr CDV good grooming. He now has a pedicure, even gone for the deluxe one, everytime we go to the US. He had a manicure at Xmas (while waiting for me to finish shopping:D) but he did not like that as his nails were shiny where they had put a clear coat on[laugh][laugh]

I occasionally pin him down and do his eyebrows but he is such a baby I don't get the chance very often. So last week I was amazed when he agreed to the therapist who was doing his pedicure when she asked if he wanted his eyebrows waxed, unluckily for him I was in the next spa chair and said yes for him too. He was apprehensive, not even I would wax my brows! It was quick, he was a bit red around the brows but I have to say it looked super, not fem at all.

I think male grooming is totally acceptable these days. The amount of products out there for men for their face, hair and bod is amazing. Ever see Vain men where the gay guys met sugaring?
I think sugaring is the least painful of all the methods, well apart from good old shaving but not in this programme...geeze.[msnoo]

now you got me thinking about groomed men! a man in uniform is a well groomed man! and i do so like a man in uniform, soldiers[msnwink] policemen[msnwink] oh yes and firemen[msnwink][msnwink]just a few i think are quite nice and smart!ummmmmm
but no nothing beats my man in his smelly greasey overalls! stinking of oil and what not!! yes steve hes a mechanic! and so very far from groomed!

I have a very well groomed man - not fem at all!! Also an ex biker but never ever smells like hes done a hard days work, hes a 2+ shower a day man thank goodness as Im the same, even bath the little ones morning and night and big ones all shower twice a day! I always have polished fingers and toes always matching, get up every morning and wash and straighten hair and put make up on even if Im not going anywhere![msnwink]

oh my how different we all are!! am always in bath and shower! never wear make up! and never wear polish on nails unless lauren wants to put some on my toes! my hair gets a brush through it! its only washed once a day, always kept short and coloured!!
clean and tidy but not into all the extras![msnwink]

Mr CDV was a mechanic way back in the mid 70s, he used to do our cars and come in covered in cack. He got fed up with it and now pays to have it done by some contacts we have. I hated it when he came in and messed up our bathroom, grease everywhere, he did look kinda cute though with his dirty face.

He is now at attached to the Military, so no more dirty jobs for him!

I relax more about my appearance when we go on holiday, always carry tons of makeup out with me and only ever end up wearing something on my lips. I have my nails and toe nails done for me as its quite reasonable compared t back home so I can forget about those and generally tie my hair up. I wear things I would not dare back home.:D

will have to tidy myself up then if going to forum get togher ! do have shower and wash hair everyday but carnt always be bothered to straighten so have to tie it up prob looks like a birds nest then most days! dont very often wear make up [:I] need to though ! one thing i am particular about is perfume i neaver leave the house without it on i surpose i`m a bit like mrs cdv with shoes, i have lots of perfumes can always find and excuse to buy some oh and estee luader products might not wear much make up but will have no wrinkles due to the amount of face crean i use lol....

Well I don't wear any make up to work - I just wouldn't have time for all that on a morning after showering and getting dressed and eating breakfast [msneek]

And then of course I have to "treat" my mouth with all my various washes and sprays for my rotten gums [msnsad]

Do like to have nails polished though and do by best to hide my dark roots once I'm 3 or 4 weeks in to a colour.

My legs are staying well hidden at the moment (even at the gym) cos I'm not shaving them for a while ready to have them waxed before the summer (or hols, fingers crossed) [msneek]

Do like to put my face on for a night out tho [msnwink]

I won't leave the house without straightened washed hair, mascara, eye shadow and lip gloss oh and like mrs cdv my Louis Vuitton handbag LOL! When I was crew we could not turn up for work without make up or we got sent home! Hubby is a business man so always wears a suit to work - very smart![msnwink]

I try to keep the normal mum thing going for my kids....not that they mind...but I don't live the biker life style......unless I'm away with our friends on the bikes that is....I like to dress for where I am...and who I'm with.....I cover my tats a lot for company dinner parties etc...I don't think its giving in to what others think....I just think it shows respect for friends and workmates......[msnsmile2]

curly look back at my first timer photo album that i posted at the weekend in the photo gallery. on the pictures there is a web site printed which i found on the sticky photo thread. it allows you to browse thru your computer and resize. you then save it back to your computer with a kb less than 95:D

Absolutely[clap] I love em, had em years, only come out in Florida[msncool]But, I had so much grief from my husband and daughter(she is at THAT age!!), they made be buy a pair of black shorts[msnsad] On the plus side...wait til I find a picture of me in the T-shirt I bought to go with them from the Character Warehouse..Oh Yes.. I had, green nails with flowers on to match a dress whilst I was on holiday, had to take it off on Monday as my boss would not like it! He does not like the fact my nails are long...old git!

It was kinda painful Caroline, but Rosie recommended a good site for shrinking jpgs, mine are so huge, good quality but a pain when you want to send anything. Going to play around with it when I get a mo.

CDV having seen your pic I can see you had no reason to be shy. Nice tan, lovely bag but can't see the shoes. I agree with the others though you are totally different to how I imagined. Much nicer than that twin sister of yours, with her twin toned hair do.

I've found a digital one of Dave and Declan on the computer, just need to shrink it! I'll have to scan a 'real' photo of me as I'm always the one taking the pictures!! But I need to use Declan's computer, that's the one with the scanner, and he's doing his homework at the moment - soon though;)

I was working abroad for a few weeks before that picture. I don't turn that colour in Florida just a wee bit brown. Have faith you will get a tinge of colour in a couple of weeks. Being a Scottish person my natural colour is pale blue and then I turn white.. to steal a line from Mr Billy Connolly!:D
