We had hoped to fly over our villa Anita, but the wind wasn't in the right direction this time, so we will just have to try again next time [msnwink]

Al took all the video and I took the pics, not up to Snapper's standards but hey we enjoyed it [msnsmile2]

Looks lovely Rosie, one of those great Florida hazy mornings that turn into sunshine. You definitely wouldn't get me anywhere near one of those balloons though! [sick][sick][sick]

Hi Rosie

Looks like great fun. I would love to do that but not sure about the rest of the family - hubby definitely wouldn't as he doesn't like heights - shame! I think you've got me hooked now that I've seen your pictures though! How long does the flight last? Oh yes, and how much if you don't mind me asking?

rosie

The flights last anything from 45 minutes to over an hour, we were actually up for nearly 2 hours and had to land somewhere as we were running out of fuel, hence the landing in the orange groves [msnsmile2]

Paul, we took off about 5 miles up the 27 from the 192 junction and we were meant to land at Wallabys on Dean Steel road, just off the 27, but didnt quite make it, and ended up nearer Auburndale than Orlando LOL.

It really wasn't scary at all, and I will do it again next time I'm there [msncool]

And to think that on March 6th, I sat on the patio of a Highlands Reserve villa watching those very balloons pass over while enjoying my morning coffee. Such a small world.

I too have been in the pool when they flew over, this was the year before last and it was a magical moment. It was my early morning swim and all the rest of the family were asleep. Didn't get a picture, wish I had. [angel]

As our house is on Highlands Reserve, we often see them gently rising over the tops of the trees. One of my guests last month was sitting outside drinking an early morning coffee when she heard a whooshing sound. Thinking it was the irrigation switching on on the golf course, she looked up and saw the balloons floating by just above the house. She was so surprised how close they were and said 'I thought they were dropping in for breakfast!!' I don't like heights so wouldn't dare to try it.

I'm there next month......if I see them I'll take a pic or two.......remembering to put on some clothes before running out the patio doors so I don't scare the neighbours....... .[msnoo][msneek][msnscared]

Rosie, who did you book your flight through? Other half has a special birthday this Aug but after April we're not sure when we'll be out again. It would be nice if I could present him with some kind of voucher but the actual flight be booked when we go out again - perhaps the wind might be in the right direction for a trip over our building site or maybe finished (Huh only been 18 months wait so far) villa next visit.
