Login problem

I can log in to the forum ok, but when I navigate to a topic I lose my login. Even to start this new topic I have had to put in my username and password just to post. I'm running winXP service pack 2 and using internet Explorer 6.0.29. Problem started after I had to reinstall after a major crash of my system. Any ideas as to what is the problem are welcome.

This sometimes happens to me Jeff and I have to close down and restart, it's usually OK after I've done this.

Cookies? Is there something since you reinstalled stopping your cookies, like internet security set too high for instance (these often default to the highest setting)?
