Having spent a lovely holiday in Naples I can highly recommend this lovely area:-

The spectacular beaches in Naples are inviting and draw you into another realm. White sandy beaches stretching for miles against the warm gulf waters. The beaches have appeared on Dr. Beach’s top 20 list. Dr. Beach is Dr. Steven Leatherman, a coastal geographer at the University of Maryland. His beach ratings are excellent and extremely accurate. Dr. Beach rates the beaches on sand color and texture, noise, litter, vegetation, development and pesky critters that may influence your stay at the beach.

[u]Naples Pier</u>
Access to Olde Naples glorious beaches is at the gulf end of each street. Parking is limited but metered lots are available near the Naples Pier. The beach at Loudermilk Park has a pavilion, rest rooms, showers, concession stand, volleyball nets, picnic tables and a superb beach area.

[u]Naples Outdoor Activities</u>
Clam Pass Country Park’s boardwalk stretches 3,000 feet through mangrove swamps and across a back bay to a pristine white sandy beach. Cruise over miles of trails in canoe or kayak and admire the graceful birds and sleek alligators. The beach pavilion includes restrooms, snack bar and picnic tables. They also rent beach and water equipment. There is a parking fee but a FREE tram travels daily to the beach. Riding bicycles on the boardwalk is not permitted.

[u]Vanderbilt Beach</u>
At the North end of town you will find Vanderbilt Beach and Delnor-Wiggins State Recreation Area. This is an excellent beach for fishing, swimming, picnics and boating. Facilities include bathhouses, picnic areas, grills and a boat ramp. There is an admission charge. Marina’s have boat rentals and are available throughout the Naples area. Sailboats Unlimited at the city docks offer sailing charters.

[u]Boating Recreation Activities in Naples</u>
Key West Excursions is located at Olde Naples Seaport and provides round trips to Key West on Florida’s fastest cruise vessel. Educational tours through the Everglades on a pontoon boat, air boat or canoe might be to your liking. For the thrill of a lifetime get down on a duck and cruise the land and sea at Duck Tours. This is truly an adventure you and your family will never forget.

[u]Naples Shopping</u>
The Teddy Bear Museum displays over 3,000 teddy bears. The Naples Cheesecake Company has fresh baked cheesecake in 11 different flavors. FREE samples. The Village at Venetian Bay is breathtaking. Dockside Boardwalk is a shopping Mecca along the boardwalk filled with gifts, treasures and keepsakes. Don’t miss the Sandal Factory Outlet that includes factory tours and unbelievable low prices on thousands of sandals. And when the feet become tired and the legs give out relax and head for the depot. Hop on the Naples Trolley and take a narrated ride of the area. See the historical side of Naples as you travel by in an authentic and nostalgic trolley. Learn about the notorious pirate - Gasparilla and the Calusa Indians. 100 points of interest to amuse and inform you on your journey.
