I think the Bicycle contraption is just John having a laugh at our expense. But the slide itself looks interesting and the wide-angle lens photography probably makes it look steeper and scarier than it really is. In any case, I'll ride this one too when I get the chance (bike or no bike).

I felt that the countryside in the background does not look like Florida. Too temperate, and the blurred buildings do not look American. I may be shooting myself in both feet here, but I am guessing that the pic was taken somewhere in Europe - maybe even the UK.
