Happy Burns Night CDV!![drinkbeer]
Yip, I've had my haggis, neeps and tatties.
We had mince, neeps and tatties - I don't like haggis!!

This is the first year we have not been to a Burns supper in ages! Having withdrawal symtoms. Might have a jig round the lounge later!.

Patti,
Haggis is a Scottish dish made up of meat, oatmeal and spices mixed together (this is the edible description). [msnwink][msnwink]
Neeps is our word for Turnip and Tatties is potatoes.

Forgot all about that in Florida. No haggis here but had a pizza instead. [msnwink][msntongue]

We had a lovely traditional dinner of haggis, neeps and tatties last night with a few swallies of the golden nectar. The kids washed it all down with Irn Bru.
Got a bit of a thick head this morning. Never mind - it was worth it.

I made the tradional meal for my Drew, haggis neeps and tatties, but unfortunately for him there were no swallies as he is working nights at the moment. I made up for him, though[msnwink]

I just wonder if it is worth pointing out here that what we Scots correctly call a turnip, seems to be referred to as a swede in England!! :)
