You have to put the city where you boarded the plane on the green visa waiver form.

On the example in this forum the person has written London in full.
There isn't a great deal of space and therefore i am sure in the past i have just written the 3 letter airport code eg NCL for Newcastle or MAN for Manchester as both have more letters than there are boxes.

Is this right?

I've squeezed the final R of Manchester in with no problems, but I'm not sure about airport codes.

I am certain that I have put Airport Codes for cities in several flight related forms including VWS and never had any problem. The code has to be the correct one, of course.

Personally, I'm a 'squeezer'. :)

I squeeze the last ER of Manchester in the last box and have never once been questioned about it.

Oh well that's one less thing for me to worry about, we always fly from London, which fits with room to spare:D;)
