I am going to visit florida next year , but have recently found that i have a gluten allergy. I would like to know if gluten free food is readily available in supermakets in the US. Or if if have to go to a pharmacy to buy it. thanks for any help.

I noticed some wheatyproducts marked with the Gluten Free emblem in the main supermarkets. But for more exotic food, you may have to go a large pharmacy to get them. I think Juvela might have distribution in the USA. Worth checking.
You'll find lots of info here http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_14923.asp&SearchTerms=coeliac and, if you scroll about half way down that page, you'll find lots of other previous links posted.
Most of the Florida supermarkets have a gluten free section, the same as in the UK.

I found this link for you, Tina. It lists all the Gluten Free pantry shops in Florida. There are 3 in Orlando and 1 in Kissimmee. Hope it helps.

Try this article I wrote for the Orlando guide. I cannot eat gluten, so I talk from personal experience.
You will be fine in Florida - I am trying to lose the weight I put on before I return to add some more!
