I voted 'other'. I was born in Chelmsford, Essex, but taken to India as an 8-month old baby. I spent the next 29 years of my life there before returning to Britain in 1985. Although I have a British passport, my heart is in India (and I fail Norman Tebbitt's Cricket Test) and so I consider myself an Indian.

Interesting. Liesa Anna certainly sounds German, but Saunders? Or have you used your mother's maiden name for convenience for the reasons you mention above?

Count me in as the 4th American!!

Although when anyone asks me what my nationality is, I always respond with English and German as that is where are my ancesters are from. My husband is Irish and English. I think you will find that is how a good part of Americans would answer that question.

I like the Dublin idea and we could invite our OV friends over across the Pond. As it is half of Britian visit Dublin every weekend with the cheap airfares at the moment and we love to have them too. Ive recently spoken to a group of ladies who travel to Dublin for the craic and the shopping about every 8 weeks or so .
