Hi!

We're arriving at OIA let's say ie. om april 29 at 11:54 Pm
After Immigration, customs and picking up our luggage it's 01:00AM

I will book my rental car upfront at home in the netherlands...

We will leave from IOA on may 14 at 2:40PM so I have to return my rental car at noon... right?

So the trip takes 16 days... right???

NOW.......... here's the question...

If I pick up the rental car on 01:00 AM it means that it's already april 30 and no longer the flight arrival date, which means to me I could do with 15 days of car rental instead of the usual 16 days... Am I thinking right way or wrong one

Please advice,

Thanks in advance...

I've just put the details in the http://www.floridahire.com/ website and it says that collection at 1.00 am on 30 April and return at 12 noon on 14 May is 15 days.

I'd grab it whilst it's going before they change their minds!

I was under the impression that there would be an extra charge (part-day?) if the time of return crossed the time of pick-up by more than an hour in the 24-hour clock? It must be, because a slight tweaking of times (at the agent's advice)at Raleigh Airport for my trip this summer caused the rental fee to drop by some $30+.

I agree with Blott grab it while you can at 15 days rental. It will easily take you that long to get through all the customs and immigration checking.

Looks like Blott has answered your query perfectly:)

It is based on the time you arrive and depart. I arrive on the 25th July 16:00 and depart on the 15th Aug 19:00 so I pay for 22 days. If I was to depart before 16:00 on the 15th Aug it would only be 21 days.
